Nice to get some coverage, but i found the preview a bit lacking (on all fronts). It somehow read as if the reviewer wasn't very interested in the game at all. *shrug* But maybe i got it all wrong .
I'm gonna have to agree with you OsirisDawn. That was an incredibly anemic review. It lacked any passion, and interest. It was like reading something by someone who's forced to fill a quota.

With tactical battles out for this one. (Which is fine, cause doing them right is important.) My question would lead upon the lines of defenses within the landscape, forts and out posts, castles, and things of that nature? Anyone have any information on what the planned nature of that will be? Castles/Keeps etcetera after a period of time, not just at a town/city. But outside of those areas.. so we could create natural choke points. Maybe with them being merchant support sites, etcete
Quoting TheProgress, reply 18How large of a landmass is this representing? It looks fairly big, but then you're calling what looks to be an ocean a bay... It's actually not that big. This continent (Anthys) is actually only one of many continents which hopefully we'll be able to expand upon over the next several years.
This was the first thing that popped into my head. This is just a small conti

Brad, is it a case of setting a priority for the AI or for it to set one for itself, on exploring the world, to recover magic/resources. And then as you mentioned for it to learn. I for one understand the part about it learning. That makes sense. My question in general is how important is a navy going to be. I get the part of the test meat grinder. In all of this, I have complete confidence in your AI skills. And this version sounds even better for it to learn within the progr

Well, the truth of the matter is, I'm more interested, long term in the fantasy strategy game of yours, to be honest. Actually I'm so far, more interested in the FTBS Game that your gonna make (especially since the stuff you guys put out tends to be pretty good and easy to mod, that means I should be able to create an entire game world of my own design, but played in your system...) So, yeah, pretty much daily, I check into the site to see if there is any news on the new game. So far, I

Just a note, Brad. Your the guy who says we don't need DRM. You don't penalize me, a customer for purchasing a product that I want to buy. You make good games. And I'm looking forward to the Fantasy Strategy Turn Based game your going to do. I've done RTS to death and they hold very little interest for me. I just totally got into a game called Armageddon Empires. A turn based post apocalyptic game. Fun as hell. So, I spend my money where the item is that I wan

I'm really looking forward to the Fantasy Strategy game your making. Been looking forward to it ever since you first hinted at it, long ago. I would like to ask one favor. Please for the art of various "Fantasy" races, you take a more serious tone. A more realistic fantasy feel as it were.

I would also be quite interested in seeing / purchasing a Ship Pack. Has to contain new hulls. And tons and tons of new Jewelry. *Bling* And those bits of Jewelry, should seriously allow you to come up with some exciting options. And a big option should at least include more attached pieces that are similar to the Flared Cowl. Curved exteriors. So we can piece our ship builds together. But I guess we'll have to see it first.<

Actually after I heard about all the improvements to 1.1, I haven't been able to play the game. I'm waiting to be able to play a no tech trading game! So.. I'm just going to continue waiting for the improved 1.1! And I'm looking forward to enhanced logistics. I still probably would increase it beyond what's currently being put together. But ...

You talk about REGRET?? Link This is regret. I kid you not.. I played the game for all of ... oh an hour. And kept getting more and more aggravated. It has NOTHING to do with D&D. Ah Marone! Seriously.. the f-tards, who came up with THAT game.. deserve to have to work some nasty foul, grease trap cleaning job for year. So you talk to me here about some of

Hey if it matters at all.. and we all know it really doesn't. But I was just gonna say.. That the Gal Civ 1 box.. looks much more professional than the Gal Civ 2 box. That and the washed out bland orangeish/red/brown on the cover just makes me go... Blech. Then again.. I didn't buy the first one because it only had humans.. and the second one I downloaded.. cause I didn't need a box. But if you were to ask me which immediately drew my eye..

Oh for the record.. my crash to desktops were caused by ... going through the arcane route of multiple windows in order to build a ship. But I learned after that. That and it was an actual bug to fix on their end. Beyond that.. I consider the free turn after a reload, except for tech or ship construction to be a bug. I now try to go longer between breaks and logging the game out. Beyond that.. excluding the social production thing

Yeah Brad, the AI doesn't trade with it's poor relations folks.. but currently I'm seeing 6 degrees of seperation. Cause right now, in a relatively recently started game, the AI has yet once again replicated the tech trading initiative program. (And tends to exclude me from that circle.) All it takes is for one race to be completely neutral, (Say like the Terrans) and anyone can trade with them. Then in the process they all start replicating

Thank you Spoon87. Those badboys actually use a TON of parts to build. And I have to admit it was very inefficient from a choke the computer because of so many parts side. But I was really proud of these ships. By the way those ships used the Large Hull type. But in most cases, I try to just use the hull to be a simple building ground. That I can then add parts on to. I'm kinda hoping there will be some simple squares put together

If it had a large cash reserve, and you have several save games through that time, and before ... you could easily check their cash values. Just load up the early games, and the subsequent games following this. And speak to the enemy. Click on their money, and see how much is available. That should tell ya a rough ballpark how much money he had.

See I realize that Stardock doesn't prune it's forums. Being openly honest, is appreciated. But seeing this type of post on the forums, when the guy hasn't responded in ... two days. It's dead. And the thread should be locked and moved on. It wouldn't be seen by most people as a forum dictatorship. But as a cleaning up of the refuse left behind by folks whos only goal was to keep his annoyingly titled thread up here by the those tired of fol

Well after being seriously inspired by another boardmembers ships. I went ahead and started to work on my first battlecruiser. It's a Thorium class vessel. This primary version is Beam Based, with Shields and Armor. I've got a Gun Based version that uses Nanorippers. That I'll showcase when I get a few into battle. (I also put these in as links, to avoid the exploding page postings.) <a href="http://img112.imageshack.us
