I rarely see rangers, but last night, and I kid you not on numbers, the Yor found approx 30ish corvettes over 3-4 turns and went from 3rd in military (out of 5) to first...Just when I was invading. Granted, they have low HP but they pack a punch. The yor managed to use them to wipe out the Drengin and the Terrans, and it took me about 60ish turns to wipe them out (even with good fleets of 40beam/40shields).

If galciv isnt running theres no way it would mess with your mouse. If your mouse curser isnt moving, then windows isnt recognising your mouse. Also, if you can post here, you can download. I know this may sound condescending but have you checked if your house is plugged in right? if its optical, does the light come on? If its USB, have you tried putting it in the PS2 port with the converter? if thats how its run and its usb, have you tried it just in

I also had this bug. several times; Mis-reporting of fleet stats on the battle screen, while deep in enemy territory and not enhanced by my military starbases; Recently, I saw a 12missile fleet show up as 4. Having said that, they still battle with their correct statistics, so Im not sure what the bug could be

I dont get people blaming GalCiv2 for temp problems; your cards will only pump out a certain amount of performance; they're stress tested in labs (they batch test) and push it to max for weeks at a time, not just in one game, to the most of its performance. Also, The new 6xxxx 7xxx and ati x8xx and x18xx x19xx range are all rated to 85c or higher (my x800Pros documentation said 105c!). But Its obviously not a good thing. Its not that Galciv pushes too

Another bug I've found during upgrading; Deleting is all good, but if you hit any icon in the list of objects EVERYTHING re-appears on the ship and its back to its default state. I dont know about other people but this happens *every* time I attempt to upgrade. Its generally not a problem as I can just click things and remove them but sometimes I cant find armour/sensors :/

I usually push beam and point defence/armour. Beam seems to miniturize better, however it seems that Missiles can do a LOT more damage (especially one you hit the harpoons and higher). Its all what you prefer, but a missle gunboat looks awsome!

The Dissapearing Turn button is seemingly replicatable. I only get it on turns where research has ended, and it seems related to ship movement or combat. Cycling through all your ships and force moving them seems to fix it, and it pops up the research window and its all fixed.

Ah but no, you misunderstand! Cool'n'Quiet isn't for lowering your electrical bill; It throttles your PC in idle times to a lower clockspeed for temperature reasons (and often to lower your cooling system - especially in shuttle PC's and laptops). it is however not supposed to happen during 100% CPU useage, which it *was* doing, usually mid-game while I was playing Half-Life2, Civ4 and whatnot. Technically changing your power management to "Desktop" obliterates this problem but it di

Moo3's scheme wasn't much different when it came to how what you did affected the planet, but on the surface, much different. Link That was a pretty crappy guide I wrote when it first came out, that only scratched the surface of how DEA's worked. Compare that to Galciv2. There are some similarities, I agree, in the actual method (make x build
