Try gnabbing a screenshot of one of their cinematics. And I think the old Homeworld 2 concept box had a portrait on it... you might be able to find a picture of that somewhere, if you're really lucky. That one was colored and all.
Tediz! That'll be my first custom race. Skimming over the manual, I'd probably have them high on loyalty, ship hit points bonuses and something else. Military oriented, for the most part. I plan on making their ships really rugged looking, like Reavers from Serenity or the Turanic Raiders from Homeworld. Rugged and mean. There's three robots in the wallpapers. I presume each is alignment specific, for neutral, good, and evil? I personally took the 4 armed reddish/brownish one for my comp at work.
Excited here as well! Just after buying Civ 4 I stumbled upon this website. I never played the first, but just reading the journal entries here about Gal Civ 2, I preordered it without a second thought. I've just had to resist hibernating for the last two weeks until the game arrives on my doorstep. I didn't order it directly from Stardock, though. Had I known of the preloading, I would have.
