No espionage on the minors, yeah. I like to do as someone else mentioned, and use them to weaken my enemies and boost my economy. They make pretty decent friends in a long game, as long as you don't need their planet.

The minor races are one of my favorit features. I wish there was a minimum setting for the minors, meaning there will be at least X number of minor races on a map. You can add them into a map with a cheat, but I've never tried it. I wish they were a little more aggressive/effective, too. If wishes were horses....

I like the digital download idea. It gives SD the freedom to do things how and when they want. The way SD Central works, it would work for anyone. Even if you didn't have internet access at home, you can burn it to a CD, and take it there with very, very little difficulty.

In the early game, I pay the top two or three AI civs to attack everyone and each other. Once my planets are protected, I go after the civs that have annoyed or slighted me. For example, in my current game, the Arceans had the nerve to threaten me with war if I didn't pay them a modest sum, twice even. Their planets are burning as we speak. After they're finished, and my massive military machine controls the majority of known space, I'll break my allia

In racial abilities, I pick Creativity, Luck, Military Production +20, Research +20, Hitpoints +20, Social Production +20 I then choose the Industrialist political party, picking up an additional +20 to Military and Social production, and +10 to economy. It's a little tough to get my economy off the ground, but once I get an econ planet or two going and some trade/tourism income coming in, look out! In my game last night, I was s

Citizen Reyals 3/23/2006 9:08:22 AM The first and biggest one is the game seems to crash every 50 saves or so. It's very annoying because it not only crashes but screws up the save file in doing so if you load that saved game it will promptly crash before even getting back into the game. I've haven't had a crash since the firs

Have you updated your game and drivers? Did you check the sticky's for known issues/fixes? Video drivers must be current or you will probably have issues, and many motherboards and sound cards require updated drivers, too. If you've updated your drivers and still have a problem, post your debug.err file.

The problem is, the OP never asked for help. He made an ignorant thread about a crash he had with version 1.0, making a disparaging remark about the game in the process. The resulting flames were more karma then anything else. He now presumes to chastise the forum community here for responding as they did. It's comedy gold. Hey Indy, the people here are more than happy to help, but your attitude is eliciting the responses you're getting. If you still have a crash after checking the st

If it's the European collector's edition, which I think is the one in the tin box, then you need to go to the Paradox website and get your correct serial number. The numbers got screwed up on Paradox's first run or something.

Thanks for sending my tech-tree poster so fast! I was really disappointed when EB didn't have the collector's edition that I'd pre-ordered, but you guys are quick to make things right, as always. Thanks again!
