Great review, rarely to I see one sum up my exact thoughts on a game. I agree with the reviewer on all points. A few minor flaws but overall the best X4 game ever.

Playing a Large Map as the Yor in the beginning on normal difficulty versus 7 AIs. As I am still sending my Colonyship to the first planets I found when all AI civs smack down on their second planet. About 10 turns later all AIs settle on their 3rd planets. This is when I am still buildning my second colonyship. The AI isnt cheating, hes doin
My SLI rig hasnt has any trouble with GC2. Neither has my alienware laptop(which has always had problems with video card overheat) I'd pop open your system and make sure nothing is wrong on the inside. Make sure all your vents are clean and unubstructed and that both your fans are working correctly. Its possible it might be GC2, but I would make sure everything else is okay as well.
Can you buy more then one ship or planet structure a turn. I thought not, but I only played about half a game yesterday so I could be wrong.

Does this apply to both the retail CD version and the downloadable version? Okay so I have been following the progession of GalCiv2 for some time. I have never played GalCiv1. The last game I played like this was Master of Orion 3, if you can call the 2 days of hell I put my self through trying to like it. Needless to say I didnt. My personal favorite X4 game is Moo2(with 1 a close second). How does this game compare? How complicated is it? Are the control intuitive yet have depth? I am wondering if I should
