I'd like to see a small chunk of the minimap or galaxy map while in the planetary view screen. Sometimes, early in the game, if I'm deciding if a planet is a front-line millitary production planet, or a back-water research planet, I forget where in the galaxy it is. Then I have to leave the planetary screen to see where it's strategic position is so I know what kind of planet i want to be, and thus what facilities to concentrate on. And then I cant rem
This needs to be bumped. This fixed all my issues with this game.
Make sure you have downloaded the "multimedia" selection from stardock also. That contains the game sounds.
I would alt tab back into black screen as well with my 7800 and dual core amd.. However, if I wated long enough (usually 5-10 seconds), everything would return and be fine.
One nice bonus about low class worlds, also, is they tend to stay happier due to their smaller population caps, so you can devote more building space to reasearch facilities or factories instead of wasting it on entertainment to boost approval.
After you launch in the game, alt-tab back to your desktop. Right click on your task bar and choose "task manager" or hit ctrl-alt-delete and click the "task manager" button.
