Should I order Galciv2 from EB Games website? It seems that they have it in stock on their online store. Or should i just wait and see if I can get it next weekend at a store? But the painful thing is waiting.
I went to 5 different stores that sell PC games: Software Etc, EB Games, Walmart, Circuit City, and Best Buy. All of them said that their shipments were behind schedule and to check back Monday or Tuesday. and Best Buy said that they only have 3 on the way. I might as well just wait a couple of weeks. Now I just need to find a game I already own to keep me occupied for that time.
Just did it did'nt find anything an online manuel would be nice when I wait to get the game. oops spelled it manuel not manual now a whole bunch of stuff came up.
Also you may want to run the game without any extra stuff running in the background such as anti-virus, etc. also in my experience some games do wierd things if you are connected online even when the game is'nt online, try disconnecting your modem if you have DSL.
Unfortunatly my sister supports the EA Imperialists with a passion by buying every game with The Sims title slapped on to front of it. I suppose soon she will need to be.... removed.
Now that game can be found for $10 (is that enough?).
The reason why I believed PC games were dying was because it seemed that no matter what game i bought it had some problem with my computer i would then have to go online and download some update and then it may or may not work properly. I stopped buying PC games for a while, i didnt want to deal with compatibility issues or half@$$ed made games that would be finished by 20 different patches. This will be the first game I will have bought for PC since Rise of Nations. The only guarentee I have
I am also rather new. Never have I ever seen a developer more dedicated to its products and to its customers as Stardock. Its really good to see since i come from a website where the game developer does respond to posts but more likely says something like "Figure it out your self" or "Your on you own" then actually trying to help the customer. I have long since canned that game and any others developed by that company. I am 110% certain that will not happen with this game when I get it.
PC Game World gave it a 90/100 and Gamerankings gave it a 95/100. And on the gamerankings one the reviewer said it is the highest rating he has ever given a game.
Try unplugging your mouse then turn off your computer plug it back in and power the computer back on.
I don't mean to offend but this is funny, he/she seems to be talking about this game but then again it does'nt. Scroll down to where it says I'M GONNA BE A INTERGALACTIC HERO!! http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/editorial/reviews/reviews.asp?pf_id=259813&intDeptTab=2>here gonna have to copy that last bit after the link into the address bar where the link takes you.
Tomarrow (Sunday) i'm heading to all the stores i know of to see if i can find this game. THE CRUSADE FOR GALCIV2 WILL COMMENCE ON THE 26th.
Hopefully the chances of me getting this game on Saturday or Sunday are good. I'm thinking about skipping Fry's since its a ways out from the rest of the stores listed (gotta think about gas ya know). I downloaded the demo of GC1 since i've always hear about it and never played it. If this game is 10x the first one then I MUST HAVE A COPY.
I just got back from Fred Meyer's, about a 20 min drive, and they had it but are now out. So i'll check again after work tomarrow. If they still don't have it then i'll have no choice but to drive to EB games, Gamestop, Fry's, Best Buy, or Circuit City on Sunday, about an 1 and half hours drive but i am sure it will be worth it. Luckily all those stores are in close proximity to each other in the same city.
Hi, I just recently found out about GC2, on the 20th actually, when i was looking for a new game. I happened to come accrossed this one by chance. I love empire building games they are just about the only turn-based games i enjoy. And my computer is'nt what you would call the "top of the line gaming rig" so since this games minimum requirements are low I think the chances of it running on my PC are high (I hope). Now I just need to wait for the stores to stock it, hopefully Fred Meyer
