Quoting XWerewolfX, reply 78 I'm not sure why you'd expect friendliness when you've filled your review with semi-personal attacks and general objectively untrue statements. Do you mean objectively untrue statements about the game
Either way I certainly feel I cannot possibly remove the unfriendly developers comment. It is an opinion, I don't think anyone has a friendliest developer survey that I can quote for this game... but even if there was such a survey your actions: calling reviewer arrogant, dismissing suggestions... that isn't, in my opinion, friendly. We'll keep honing our skills and getting better at the whole podcast thing and keep all of this great feedback in mind. I'm super passionate about 4X games, so I hope to keep doing stuff like this and keep asking questions that are relevant and dig a little deeper than your average gaming site! Glad you all liked it!
Beyond the podcast itself, I find this cool for two reasons: 1. you landed Brad for the podcast and 2. Brad was willing to do it. Pretty neat imo.
He didn't even hesitate. He's a class act!
Great interview. I really enjoyed hearing Brad (Frogboy) on the -cast. Edit: OK, I know this might sound like a fanboy statement, but the more I learn about this game the more excited I get about it and about being a part of the beta.
100% agree. I love the DM idea and how the minors will participate. I just hope we see it implemented how it's being presented. It sounds too g
2. Have you considered having a visual representation, like some buildings, to indicate the tiles you have chosen when you level up your cities into?
One of my favorite things about the WoM series. I'd love to see this implemented somehow here, too.
I'd love to see the minors in all of their glory!
Mountain pass. Mainly because of the minors and the variety. Only played on a couple of them, though.
I can live with trolls and criticism. What I don't like is the "Don't argue with me, the customer is always right" attitude. If someone wants to criticize the game, fine. But I'm a developer, not a PR rep. If they want a PR person, that can be arranged. But if they want to talk to developers they're going to be dealing with people who will say "no, actually, what you just said is factually wrong."<
Why do you think the Steam forums are so toxic?
This is a legitimate question, because they are toxic on every level, despite the game or the developer. It gets even worse when there is even a shred of controversy in the developer's past. Why are gamers so angry? I've more than once states that the worse thing about the hobby is the culture surrounding it. So much anger and entitlement. Don't try to talk ab
No, they should be separate. Don't try to shoehorn them in!
*SNIP OF ONE GIANT TEASE*
This sounds great to me. In short, it would be an expansion pack for both FE and FE:LH owners? You're looking at Q3 2015, then? Also, FE: Ultimate is the best way to go. I'm literally frothing at the bit of the idea at greater faction differentiation and faction-specific tech trees. What would be the cha
As I stated in my PREVIOUS POST ;) it's written by Devildogf!
I like the second idea too, but I think the choice between upgrading your village to a town and on to larger sized developments should be more of a consideration of attracting the SK's attention and increasing the doomsday counter, not one of map size.
Done as DevildogFF, though it's being down voted to oblivion. I don't understand people sometimes.
I completely agree with the above sentiments. The name Elemental has been redeemed in my opinion. Going back and renaming them all Elememtal: Fallen Enchantress, Elemental: Legendary Heroes, Elemental: Sorcerer King makes a lot of sense to me and does not dilute the name or brand. When I think of the Elemental series, I think of Stardock's fantasy 4X series that has truly found its footing and ranks among the best of all time. I honestly thought Endless Legend
Hmm this is s couple of good points. I definitely think agree that a world conquered by the SK SHOULD look more war torn and beat up. I think ink it might be too late to change that at this point, though.
Hmm, I'm thinking that the graphics ARE good enough to warrant some dedicated cards and that would be why you're all having issues. It runs like a champ on my laptop with a dedicated graphics card
Sorry, did not mean to come across that way. Was trying to illustrate you can slow the doomsday counter.
I don't think you did. I think someone is just a wee bit sensitive..... *cough* BORG *cough*
Legendary Heroes. That's the name of the most successful of the Elemental series by every measurement. It's simple and easily recognizable.
I believe that Legendary Heroes is already trademarked by itself. I think you should go back to War of Magic. It's descriptive and most people know this series by the Elemental name, not the War of Magic name. I liked the War of Magic: Falle
This kind of weird road behavior that's been in this series from the beginning HAS TO BE FIXED, please. It drives me nuts.
Quoting XWerewolfX, reply 31 Frog, how much of this can we expect (as far as item customization changing looks)? Not much. Swords, maybe shields. But not clothing. It allows us to have a LOT more items since we don't have to create
These are balance issues and easily fixed. I agree, though, too. Shouldn't be that unbalanced.
