It is, by the serial. You can NOT resell GalCiv2 like other games because each box has a unique serial, through that serial you get updates. That is how it is copy protected.
Galaxy613
I bought it online because I was able to download the basic compondents, and when the box arrived, install the whole thing.
16 as of last Tuseday ^-^
Heres a good mirror: link That host is just tooo slooow (I was getting 16kb/s), this host should be a good deal faster.
Mine is a frankienstien mechine also. Old parts mixed with new and etc. Pentium 4 2.8Ghz HT ASUS P4P800SE MSI 9800Pro 128MB (No overclock or anything) 1GB (512MBx2) DDR-SDRAM Sound Blaster Live! ThermalTake 430w PSU And thats about it.. looking into replacing the mobo and processor, and maybe getting a PCI-Express card.
I would LOVE to see a X3: Reunion mod... Though I highly doubt that'll happen, though it'll be amazingly awesome if done right.
The majority of the female sex however seem to hate computers, wierd given that they love there mobile phones which nowadays is a computer. Hate?... or just don't understand?
*phew* I though this post was going to be about the lack of a tactical battle screen. -.-' Yeah, and also there could be a option to turn the end-turn-button-noise on-and-off.
lol Good one.
Hopefully the forum software change will go smooth. And more so, I hope it works better and feels better then the current one.
I heard that Hot-seat might be added in the coming expansion. From like Frog-boy or someone.
Well... if someone wants to make a new GUI with the coming 1.2 version that will support 640x480, then it COULD be done. But Stardock made it so you can't go below 1024x768 in the in-game options because the GUI that was made for GalCiv2 was optimized for 1024x768 and above. However, someone could make a new GUI that could work for 640x480 or 800x600 and then you'll have to edit the GalCiv2 settings.ini file to set it to that resolution...
And yes you can change it, 48 pixels can't be that much. Goto MyDocuments -> MyGames and find the GalCiv2 directory and the settings INI file. In there you'll find the width and height, change the height to 720 and see how it runs. You might get a bit sqished of a image, but thats better then forcing it to do 800x600.
Yeah, some Betas can cause headaches, but if you are having problems now you might want to try it out and see if the Beta works for you.
I have a 9800Pro and it works fine. Though the Pro and All in Wonder versions are different...
The funny thing is, I have also been getting this with ships that I've saved during the same game! I'll create a ship, and when I go back to upgrade it, it seems random wether or not it's messed up, but I've only seen this on ships I've created like two savegames ago. Also, something weird happened recently, I loaded up a save game, and I only had 4 designs in my shipyard! Yet one of the designs that was missing was still being produced! This was a autosave.
Yeah, what difficulty level? Because the difficulty leve can mean the difference between Drengies conquering the galaxy, and staying in their little hole.
Someone should make a post to tell everyone to update their SDC servers. >.> I was on server 3 and thats nomore.
I voted yes.
Sounds great, can't wait for the modding options.
heh sounds action-packed.
...despite it's only turn 10... Remeber, it's turn 108... Which is it?
Maybe there should be Economy bonus tiles.. but ONLY 100% ones.
I agree that it is a pity that the GC1 auto-launch option doesn't exist in GC2. You can substitute it by setting a waypoint on the tile where ships are launched, but this is tedious when you have many planets. You say that even when the very post above yours tells you that you can infact easily launch ships when they are built. <img src="http
DUDE, thanks ALOT Moose! Totally bookmarked and downloaded it! Already cooked up a map!
