Build the ship called "nothing"
Deamhan Faerie
stardock? froggy? If it doesn't currently.... I think that should be a easy change, eh? I personally have never seen multi items for item(s) in the debug.err so i assume it doesn't...
Are the displayed trades in the debug.err between AI's complete? Does it show the full trade list between AI trades or just the first thing on the list? To see the AI Tech Trades I believe you need to run game with the DEBUG switch. I'm not 100% though since i've had that in for awhile before now
running 1.0x When trading with other civilizations it sometimes turns text green as soon as your credit slider is moved off 100, and it remains green no matter where you slide it to. It wont let you trade for any amount so it doesn't break that. (ie after you click done it turns red if it isn't going to trade) reproduce: add a tech to 'they have'. try to pay for it with credits or a tech and subsidize with credits. Note: this doesn't happen every time... j
Ahh ok, thanks. My economy did pretty much collapse on me there and I didn't know how that worked.
I'd think multiplayer would be fun, but pbem no thanks and i would never go into some little server browser and randomly find people. LAN would be all i'd play, but it would be nice if wasn't fixed to LAN with a little server browser so i didn't have to VPN in friends to play. Allow a IP connect.
I'm a firm believer that DRM and copy protection hinder sales about as much as they protect them. Look at me, I haven't bought a DVD or CD for how long? all because of what is going on in that industry. Guess how many star force protected games i've purchased? zero. (guess who isn't ever buying heroes V...) But turn that around... I pirate stuff. I feel that I put my money where it belongs, not where overpaid executives of big companies think i should. I've been burn
A civilization that was about to fall surrendered me their last planet (which is good because I defended them for hundreds of turns).. anyway... the planet does nothing. it can't build ships, it can't construct or upgrade buildings. it can't do anything. it just sits there. I'm assuming this is a bug. Anyway the planet is called "Frosted Donettes" (which i happened to have a box of here and was looking at when i named it) Here's a link to the save game. No laug
I would like to see a no tech trading option... I think better than that would be an option to only be able to trade techs that YOU research yourself. You can only trade techs you research for techs they research. techs that you receive from a trade are non-transferable in any way shape or form.
Respawning anamolies is a great idea... then you would always want a new ship with tons of speed and a survey module!
I have the same opinion. The only way I can keep up is to abuse the AI like a stupid computer... which is kinda lame i feel. A no tech trading option would be nice... Or how about making it so you can ONLY trade techs that YOU research? I think that would make things interesting.
I had to go delete them manually. they are in your \my documents\my games\galciv2\ships
I would agree that somehow the random events need to change. What would be best, imo, is to be able to specify which events you want to happen, and how good they can be, and after how many turns (or discovery of a tech?) the specific event is allowed. kinda a pain to create UI for all of that, so maybe just some kind of XML file we can throw in the mods dir?
Yep there is definately a memory leak or two.... There are overheating issues also, my laptop really burns up... but my main system doesn't as it's been setup to stay really cool... Both problems exists, and are completely unrelated =P Also... finding memory leaks really isn't an end user thing to isolate! So saying that it isn't helpful to not tell you where it's leaking memory.... really isn't helpful! there are a couple things you can do as an end user easily
has "to to" in it "Designed to build star bases, the Constructor can be sent to to galactic resources or anywhere else a little extra influence is needed."
