Now would good drengin use pain amplifiers???
The part of the brain that controls pain is also the pleasure area( at in animals on earth). So I d say yes cause they prolly just change the effect to an pleasurable one.

and here is a bit more to add
Before he worked out the general theory of relativity, Einstein had already deduced that gravity must affect a light wave's frequency and wavelength. Light moving upwards from Earth's surface, for example, shifts to longer wavelength and lower frequency, as gravity saps it of some energy. But the effect is tiny in earth's modest gravity. In 1960 Robert Pound and Glen Rebka of Harvard University finally succeed in testing this crucial predic
Do photons and electrons have mass? No they don't, sunshine! Now tell me the elementary particle of light. Photons you say? Correct! They don't need to accelerate. There is nothing to pull against. They have no mass and thus they are immune to gravity. Completely.
light is effected by gravity wells. Its how we found most of the planets, by looking through gravity wells. Also light is sucked into blackholes.

I would say it would be a bit much for the AI's to deal with... we can eyeball it and plan way better. Now if Influence resources were to form around said type star systems it would be a wicked boost to Roleplaying the resources. But then the question would be in the difficulty of programing that. Right now most of the Resources I just think of them as planets that have been thrown out of a solar system, or some other exotic feature that isn t displayed.

Atlas - Gives a 10% attack bonus to all ships in fleet except for the ship carrying it. Fortitude - Increases HP of all ships in fleet except for the ship carrying it. just put two such ships in each fleet I can t wait to test weather or not these parts are considered weapons... Cause if they don t count I would prolly just put them on a non-combat ship and not worry about its firepower. I m seeing my

Do note that paypal doesn't work for preorders. If you want to get some other games on TGN (or don't mind spending more now and saving the extra tokens for later) though, you can buy tokens with paypal then preorder with tokens. Kyro, Just to let you know that when I pre-ordered the new game it did bring up the paypal option... not that I used it but it did have it there.

Funny thing is, this has already caused me to develop a strategy: Two fleets, Fleet of Death and a fleet of colony ships. Move into a system, whoop the crap out of a planet, leave a colony ship behind and move on. When the system is cleared, select the whole colony group, switch to auto and boom - all the planets colonized at once. I have found that colony ships die to easy. The AI on medium is smart enough to go for those quickly. Right now I am figh

What gets me is that once a unit (any unit) begins an auto attack sequence, it won't stop attacking that unit unless I tell it to or the target is destroyed. This is a bit annoying when you've cleared all the hostiles (defensive structures and enemy ships) from a system and everything is attacking a logistics structure when a new enemy fleet phases in. My bombers remain attacking the logistics structures as do my frigates, cap ships, cruisers and fighters. It would be

Are you running the latest hotfix? Strikecraft targeting priority was adjusted in one of the two so things like this shouldn't be happening. I have seen this as well with the July 12 fix... and I am current as of last night. I have had to pull my fighters many times to intercept enemy fighters and bombers instead of the hard targets.

. One suggestion: With a billion Terrans invading another planet, you would be more likely to have Singhs and Chens fighting than Jenkins and Higgins. Of course, there could be a good reason for all of the original soldiers having Anglo names -- the marine units would have to be organized assuming the group all speak the same language. Anyway, worth mentioning, I think. Except in this world everyone is breeding like rabbits. Anyways if you just

Alexis de Tocqueville, whose book Democracy in America was translated in English in 1840 (published in French in 1835) used the term as well. Tocqueville described Americans as highly individualistic and believed that this individualism was inseparable from the new American concept of egalitarian democracy. He wrote, "Not only does democracy make men forget their ancestors, but also clouds their view of their descendants and isolate

i agree. all i originally meant to point out is that it took some time before Newton's original inspiration turned into a well-defined theory; does anything about the mythical accretions discount that idea? As a pagan I got nothing against myths, but you often sound like your against other peoples myths so I figured that it was alright to show you one of your own. We all have myths and its ok. like other iconic figure

But the way the apple is use is considered myth... oh really? maybe it didn't hit his head while he dozed off to sleep, but there's a firt-hand account that his initial suppositions on gravity were formulated involving an apple: at the very least, Newton used an apple as an example in his initial hypothesis. A contempo

ah, the myth of the heroic scientist. unfortunately, many historians of science consider it a myth. most discoveries occur as the result of an accumulation of knowledge reaching a kind of critical mass. the individual isn't too important to the equation (the reason calculus was developed twice and why quantum field theory doesn't have a single founder the way relativity does). don't get me wrong. Einstein, Curie, Darwin, Newton, Copernicus, Galileo (I'd even include Ma

1: Marx wasn't exactly clear when he described the shape of a communist polity, but it was certainly an organic outgrowth of proletairan sensibilities, anarchistic in some ways. I have always felt that Marx was not very good with his Roman history, cause of his use of the word proletairate. The Prol's were a class of free Roman that was considered only useful for the children they bared. He should have used the word Plebian instead thats the comm

There are very, very, rich people who could spend loads of money to better the economy of the world and make this planet a better place, but they don't. Why? does self centered ring a bell? Yes, they do give donatoins to charities sometimes, but, I think those are just publicity stunts, I hear the self centered bell again. <IMG id=ImageResize_Image_1 src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Laugh.gif" onload=ImageResizer.createOn(this); align=absMiddle

also those crowbar things must have been a very special material to not disintegrate in the atmosphere. sounds like an interesting plot device. The military was working on satelites that would throw rods from orbit to earth... they called it the "rods from god". Yes it is a special material... I believe it was tugsten rods. But I am pretty sure they are much larger than crowbars. i guess what i find unreali

hmm i guess i was wrong in saying that it started around the depression; perhaps it would have been better to say that the new conservative platform had crystalized by then? No I d say that Goldwater is more the reason for today's conservative platform. Though I am getting curious when the Repulicans and Democrates switched the liberal and conservitive labels... It may just be the way we think today. Is it more liberal or conservitive to

indeed, and the line wasn't even that clear until recently. the shift first seemed to start around the Great Depression, but many republicans between then and the 70s were still fairly progressive compared to some of today's. the wikipedia article on the republican party is pretty extensive (how reliable is another question). No, it was earlier than that. Republicans mostly voted against the New Deal, basicly
