They are also reducing Taric's base AD by 10 on PBE. That pretty much means his damage will be the same since his new passive does about what his old base AD did. And the armor aura nerf to his W is pretty substantial. Ultimately it looks like he will be a bit stronger in lane, but probably a bit weaker late game. The major changes look to be the big changes to BotRK. Riot says that they want to turn it into a carry item to be used against bruisers, but I

You shouldn't build Archangel's after RoA. If you do you have two massive items that take a long time to charge up to full effectiveness. You won't be getting their full value until like the 50 minute mark. The whole point of Kassadin is that he has a monster mid game, but you really weaken your midgame by building two items that take a long time to charge. Also, Rabadon's has a lot more AP in most realistic situations. It has twice the base A
The new league system is pretty silly IMO. First off, the leagues you get placed in are meaningless. Who cares if I am 5th in the Nami's Vindicators section of Silver IV? My league placement is completely meaningless - all that matters is my league points. If I get to 100, it doesn't matter what anybody else in my league does. I guess if you are in Diamond I it might mean something, but for everybody else its a waste of resources. Also, you wi
Jungle was also lost from the get go. Trouser tried his best and I cannot fault him for that(he did better than most of us), but Karl is THE jungler in our little group. There was 0 chance of our team getting a safe dragon or baron unless we annihilated the enemy team in a teamfight(fat chance of that with almost every lane lost).
Trouser is actually decent in jungle. He doesn't gank that much, but he actually counter
Its so frustrating to lose easily winnable games because of teammates who just dont get it. Of my first 5 losses, at least 2 were easily winnable if we just had non completely stupid teammates. As in, they just have to be there when they are grouping. Instead I have things like this Riven who insists that he must farm to "catch up" 35 minutes into the game while they are taking 2 towers plus inhibitor. But hey, those 20 cs he got will totally make up for the 1500 gold
Also - if you are going to start a Udyr at some place other than a blue buff, he had better REALLY know what he is doing. You have no idea what a man whore Udyr is early (220 starting mana, but it costs him 55 mana to flip a stance). Seriously, go try playing him in jungle without a blue buff sometime. It is REALLY REALLY ugly.
OK, finally fixed network adapter issues. ProTip: Do not play ranked games with network adapters that you have not tested. I tried to play with a Wireless USB card which was supposed to be good for gaming. It was not. Horrible, horrible lag. As in, spiking to 3k. Luckily, my team was terrible, so I'm 99% sure that we would have lost that game anyway. So I got a nice new network adapter from a local store, and it seems to be working very nicely
Stupid computers. It looks like my network adapter decided to kill itself. Turned the computer on this morning, no internet (my laptop connected just fine). Tried to fix stuff, but the Device Manager couldn't even find any hardware related to the network. No network adapters or interface controllers or anything. Tried to reinstall drivers, but the driver installer couldn't find the device to install for. After messing around with my BIOS a bit, I
Man, I forgot how tough solo queue could be. I went 3-2 in my first 5 ranked games, but my mids just wouldn't stop getting crushed. 4 out of 5 games their mids just destroyed our mids. This included a 9-1 ryze and a 14-2 yi (plus a Kass that started 6-0). As a jungler, I really really dont like it when our mid feeds their mid early. My first game I wasn't able to jungle because a Shaco demanded it and took Revive and then the ADC I supporting was
I probably should have played WW in that last game. I think that FU WW ganks are about the only way I was going to be able to do much when wallstop pairs with somebody who has been playing professionally in the last month. They just dominated me every time I tried to gank, and karth ults didn't help. Our bot lane did about as well as could be expected, but there wasn't much I could add, so it didn't go too well.
Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a shot but I kinda doubt bandwidth is the issue. I checked my speed after upgrading and it seemed a solid 20 download/2 upload. Also, my roommate wasn't even home for the in house game where I was having the worst issues and said she was only listening to itunes during that earlier game we played. I guess Bitmeter makes sure the bandwidth stays consistent during gaming?

karl - thunder thought he saw you spectating after you quit. I saw my stream went down. Just curious - did you log back in to spectate then?
I was kind of watching one of your games while doing other stuff around the apartment.
trolololololol
You can't defend baron when all 3 inhibs are down. You need to defend nexus - you still had a chance of beating them in a teamfight even when they had baron since you were up 15 or so kills as a team.
Still dumb crap like kat with sunfire cape, but it was nice to see the our teamwork outplay them.
Kat with sunfire is actually a thing now. Its very popular at high elo from what I understand.
Karl(or anyone else who can jungle), I need your help... I feel that I am regressing in terms of being an effective jungler. I am absolutely fine that my main junglers are banned most games, (frankly it does feel a little unfair when I pick Amumu) but I never have as much of an impact on the game as Karl does. What behaviors have you noticed that I have that I need to remedy? What do I need to develop?<br
You didn't really fail in the team fight phase the last game. We had you outscaled - no way your team could outscale darius/kog/ww. Really close games though. Well played all around.
Shen actually clears jungle better than I thought season 3 (haven't tried him in jungle recently since he is always banned). He is nothing special in jungle, but decent. Anyway, I'd like to be on record that Shen should always be banned or first pick. He completely gums up the mid game if you play him top (he isn't a huge deal in jungle).
esp since we don't like, analyze your ga
I don't know if they could have finished, but if they were going to push 5 mid at that point, their only choice was to go for it. Otherwise they should have just defended immediately or at least sent one back.
Played properly I think we would have won that exchange. Level 3 Xin does quite a bit of damage. A win would have required a successful blitz grab, but that shouldn't have been hard since it should have been fired when I knocked up with my Q. I agree that pacov deciding to initiate the fight in the middle of a giant creep wave substantially before I got there was bad. Xin doesn't need blue very much (his Q+E is surprisingly mana efficient), so losing buffs
Yeah, I split push briefly. But I was back before they got to inhib.
I don't want to be a dick, but because you were asking for feedback after your last game, let me say something. You might want to work on your game state awareness early and mid game. You almost never press tab (you went something like 20 minutes without pressing it once in game 3), so you don't know builds or CS or scores in other lanes. You don't even know the summoner spells of people in your own lane (you had to ask your support at like level 6). Also
Other thoughts - I think zed is a wee bit overpowered. Now, I'm not exactly a good zed - kinda far from it, but playing 1 game last night I was in a position where there was a 100% chance I could pick off either the ap carry or the ad carry every single time.
Zed isn't that good. He tends to fall into the pattern where he can kill somebody, but then immediately gets blown up himself. Its 1 for 1.
but I don't quite grasp why top and bottom are given different distinctions.
Having a jungler essentially always occurs in games with level 30 players. Therefore, you need to create an additional solo lane. Top is preferable to bottom because you want 2 people in the lane closest to dragon. You need those two people, otherwise the other team can exert superior dragon control, which is a significant ad
karl - next time you top with anyone other than cho, try going the flask/pots route. Keep in mind 2 things. 1 - Not everyone does this and its very strong sustain. 2 - you are going to SUCK SUCK SUCK top until you get used to all the match ups you will deal with. After all of my games top, I have X characters that fall into the i don't give a fuck category (eg beat me up and I'll still win the game or play a reasonab
