I have also experienced the great darkening of the map... selecting another unit to move usually makes it go away, but the issue does exist.

Some users with this issue found that to solve it in the previous build.
This worked for my system ! Thanks! ** The game has occassional stuttering problems with sound .

And No, that doesn't mean the gameplay won't dramatically change between now and release. Even if the testing begins 4 months from now it can be useful herding all the 64-bit testers tog

This developer journal is obviously from the view of a being from within of the Empire races.... otherwise Frogboy highly favors Empire. :P I believe having Empire without adventuring and experience is a method of providing an option so gamers can play with less micro-management. Just a theory.
So the question is, where would people like to see the focus? More emphasis on making the game lore with the 10 factions. Or more emphasis on making it easy for players (in game) to customize their own factions/races?
Since the poll regarding factions has 80% of the gamers choosing "The one I create myself"... I would lean towards customization. Even gamers who won't be interested in customizing their own race can tweak an existing race or

There was a financial cost from Intel which generated a strong belief no 64Bit version would be made available, yet last I saw Stardock found a method around the extreme financial barrier.
Can we please get an option to disable Technology Brokering for the late betas/retail version? This was one of the better options in Civ4 - it made it so you couldn't trade for a technology, than trade it to someone else. I'm not sure if this idea became a reality at Stardock, but I certainly hope it's at least being considered. Many game ideas can be generated from watching movies plus it won't take any time away from the employees since they will be off the clock eating lunch anyways. With their hands and mouth usually busy with food might as well provide fun inspiration using their eyes.

During Sovereign creation I recognized equipment costs build points, but it seems more logical the equipment cost should be taken from a players starting gold. I believe this method would encourage more equipment being purchased during the creation of the sovereign.

Adjustable Game Timers One important feature from Heroes_3 and AgeofWonders is the adjustable game time. The AgeofWonders:ShadowMagic allowed for the game timer to be adjustable thus during the early stages the game timer could be 4mins and as the game progressed the timer could be gradually increased each time the game was being loaded. The game timer not only helped prevent players from taking too long, but also allowed the
