1. Nope 2. If it were to have it, online I suppose. 3. Definitely a weird quote. Not sure what to make of that part of allying.

Think the first game I played on a computer (some type of Apple II) was Castle Wolfenstein. That was in junior high so was about 1984 or so. First game I played on an IBM PC freshman year of high school, 1985 and it was some type of space exploration game, where you had to mine planets, I can't remember the name though... arghh. Really liked it except you had to use one of those stupid paper wheels put together as a form as DRM. First game I actually bought was first semester in colle
Widely-accepted, schmidely-accepted. Unless we see a serious sign that the devs are reconsidering their plan for the playable factions in the base game, this endless wrangling about orcs or no-orcs is really dull, and sometimes annoying whether or not you are in the 'wish we had elves, etc.' camp, which I sort of am, but less so the more of this sort of stuff I read. I'm particularly disinterested in seeing the devs make radical chang
F19, wow, I really miss playing that game. Don't think I've had that game installed since just before Win95 came out. That was a really great game for it's day.
I'm thinking my favorite is Fall From Heaven 2 (although unlike MichaelCook above, I am playing the version for Vanilla Civ4). I was expecting to like it before I started playing, but damn, I just could not believe the amount of modding they had actually done to the game. It is unreal.
I'm with pretty much everyone on this. You could leave this art alone, it looks great! Looks so clean, and easy on the eyes.
Brad, how much noise does that computer make while running? Not a measurement of course, just a quick comment about it if you don't mind. Or anyone else feel free to respond with whatever you feel is the absolute quietest case for building a high-powered rig. Would really appreciate it, haven't built a new computer myself in 4 or 5 years, think I'm gonna jump back in as soon as Win7 goes gold, and looking to do a little research on parts. (Btw, running Win7 beta right n
I think you also need to make sure you are not on Flash 10 yet, seems only flash 9 works here for uploading. At least that was the case when I last tried uploading an avatar here, haven't tried lately, so I'm probably wrong :)
Quoting Annatar11, reply 8Well, Blair and Craig did get a mention in his description.. I was really kinda hoping they'd get on the list themselves (I nominated them as a single deal, can't really split them up, you know ), but instead we got a game tester who looks like a habitual drunk and an EA guy who looks like he's high. Yeah I did as well. Well maybe next year after all the x-packs are out and people know them more. T
You're all set. Impulse is just one view of many to get the stuff.
Ahh, that is good news, I did the same thing and then a few minutes later had the same uh-oh response I believe the OP had.
I'm going to go vote, but I really do not care who wins the Presidency. Blah to both of them! The congressional voting is where the real changes are made anyway. By the way, we really need to do something about getting rid of a 2-party system. All we end up with is a choice between 2 people who most of us would really rather not have in charge. It ends up being a pick between the lesser of two evils.
Art looks very interesting indeed! Can't wait for the beta. By the way, I think this is the best looking of any of the Stardock websites, by FAR!
I had this issue, I was able to fix by hacking the registry (I have XP, so I dont know how this will work with other OS's). The issue is with SDC and what it writes to the registry, not Impulse actually. If you are comfortable with regediting then you can do the following:goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\GalCiv2\Twilight\add a New String Value called Path (do this by right clicking on Twilight folder in regedit), right click on the Path string you just created, and ty
The only thing I absolutely could not stand from Enterprise was the beginning theme song! Besides that, I liked it pretty well.
For the fantasy strategy game, I am hoping to write a book or some very long story guide that would come with the collector's edition of the game.
You really know how to tease us don't you?!?! Now I am even more impatient for the game! Keep up the great work, am loving GC2 and both its expansions.
And the fantasy game will probably be pre-ordered immediately if it will be anything like the old Baulder's Gate or Morrowind/Oblivion. The fantasy game's a TBS, not an RPG. And sins has already been in public (preorder) beta for a while now.
Fantasy TBS?? SOLD!!! Also, a
Perhaps an "Alien Tech" tab would be the best method in this situation? That way, you only automatically upgrade to your own types of research, but still have the ability to use any stolen/traded tech you might acquire. And definitely no replacing anything on the tech tree, perhaps start a new branch for stolen traded alien tech.
I have a high end computer with ...., four MB of RAM, and four megabytes alocated to virtual memory. Let me guess - with Windows 3.1 installed OS? LOL, yep, sounds like he is using up most of his 10MB hard drive just as memory. Might need to re
I have posted this a couple times, so hope I don't sound like a broken record, but... How about putting Planet Type (HeavyGrav, Toxic, etc.) and status (red-0, yellow-50, green-100) on the Colony tab of the CivManager. Please!! Pretty please!
Son of a bitch! "I paced the war room in my underpants, puzzled." I spit grape soda all over my monitor!!
Ran 1.6 beta5 test 2 for a couple hours with a 7800GTX and intel chip. Working very nicely. Would still love to see something on the Civilization Manager screen, on the Colonies tab that would state what type the planet is (e.g. HeavyGravity, Toxic, Aquatic, etc.) and at what state it is at (0%, 50% or 100% production). Even if you just threw in the same icon as in the main planet screen and allowed us to hover over it to get a tooltip, that would be great. Would make it much easier for
ps. when are other betas coming out? it was also mentioned that there was going to be a series of betas for the 1.6 update. just curious. thanks for all the GREAT work!! The devs are working on them, but no ETA yet. im running 1.59.078 Is this the beta Yes 1.59.078 is 1.6b1, however there were issues with SDC updating the version number without actually updating the game prope
Just an update, tried the un-check and re-check to no avail. But that did give me the idea to mess with other settings in SDCentral. Turns out by switching to a different server, everything worked great. Thanks for the tip gallagher.
I've been using the newer 1.40X.070 GC2 and 0.20a.031 DA build on my computer at work since it came out, went to upgrade my home computer up to this build from the previous build (think it was GC2= 1.40X.067 and DA= 0.20.020 or something close to that)and SDCentral is not showing that on my home computer as an upgrade option, I made sure show beta builds is still checked and have right clicked on both the DarkAvatar and Galciv2 and done the "check for application updates" within SDCentral. Perhaps when agents increase your espionage level they should disappear, so they can't be re-used, that would seem to balance it a bit.
