If you think Steam is good, try Greenmangaming..
I did, actually, but the problem is that I don't believe it will quite survive the competetion like Steam. And a bankrupt digital distribution platform is trouble for those who own the games.
Zeno Clash just one buck! Highly recommended, it's a unique game.
What? Introversion - Complete Crack? With Defcon and Uplink and Everything? Gimme! Oh, and Grimrock there, for just 2.50... Ow well, they bled me dry this time. I shiver upon the thought that in a month... there will be the dreaded X-Must Sale!
Registry is just a collection of configurations for your computer. Configurations cannot be automagically "fixed", because no automatic tool can guess how do you want your applications to behave. Sure, there are rules that can determine and tidy up leftovers after bad uninstall scripts, but a runaway automatic process can screw your configuration real good due to all kinds of bugs and oversights of its creators.
I have just finished the fifth episode, and it was okay-to-good. The characters and dialogues are well written, because you care, the story is what you would expect, but solid, the gameplay is minimal, consoleish and very restricted (hammering the "A" button being a staple), and the choices are mostly illusionary. It's more a digitized gamebook (if you shoot, turn to page 56, if you run, turn to 89) than a full-fledged game. It made me think about the shift of the main hero consis
mispost, sorry
There. In military terms, winning a territory means seizing it. No bigger disappointment when you win a battle, and someone else picks your goody hut. Every other game gets this, and does it right.
What I find atrociously horrible is the unit selection - which unit is selected when, it should be clearly visible, and the mechanics consistent. Too often, after finishing some action, my hero dashes alone at the enemy, leaving the army behind. Moreover, if unit path takes multiple turns to finish, the range per turn should be visible - ffs, even games like HOMM 3 had that.
Sins of the SE : Rebellion for 10 Euro? GIMME!
The usual drill? Update drivers, DirectX? Check Event Log for application log errors? Did you do it?
Let's be positive, let's view it as a transcendental experience that relieves us of corrupting, worldly currency in exchange for a subtle, inspiring quasi-experience that actually never happened... a machine for peeking into the non-existent, if you will... Crap, I just bought Age of Empires III collection just because it was cheap, even though I slammed it to be mainstream dumb cripple of a strategy... I need help!
Nothing. As stated, printed manual becomes obsolete fast, and I tried to read that Hiergamenon stuff, but it's so dull it made me fall asleep. When I need a manual handy, I read it on my phone as pdf. Saves paper, saves space. Living space is expensive to clutter it with printed books.
On the other hand, if you bought the game two years ago under the nicname Elemental:WOM, you would have it for free. Diabolical schemes...
I strongly recommend using HDMI, DVI or DisplayPort (depending on your gfx card and TV capabilities - HDMI should be possible). When you use VGA cable, there are two conversions - first, the digital image is converted to analog signal (with loss of quality) which is transferred by the VGA cable, and in the TV, it's converted again back from analog to digital, with another loss of quality. The effect is a blur, and problems like you experience. HDMI cable transfers digital signal
Some of them are really queer, like that super slow rotating cut with a sword. But the worst must be the spear. Spears are thrusting weapon and their most dangerous part is the tip. You use them to thrust, to impale or run through your opponents, not to "smack" them over the head with the shaft. It's true that the shaft can be used also in combinations, but the main attack with a spear should always be the thrust.
Please change the name of the thread, because there is absolutely no problem with the resolution in general. Try to find drivers for your TV, but otherwise be prepared there won't be a fix. Many televisions do not have the full functionality of computer monitors. Also, what type of connection do you use? HDMI, displayport, or DVI? Please don't say analog VGA cable...
I have found out what movie is featured in the game, it's "To kill a mocking bird", and it seems there is all 128 minutes of it in the game. Insane.
By the way, militia is most definitely bugged. I had an umberdoth attacking my city with sov+3 units, battle overview said, I will have 6 units (4 of my army + 2 militia) but the militia did not show up.
Nah, I don't think militia are weakness compared to regular, they are fighting for thier home, so they should be stronger than regular units...
Historically, militia was usually weaker especially when morale was concerned, because they were not professional, battle hardened soldiers, but locals hastily armed to defend their homes. Morale was very important in any kind of battle (shame it's not simulated in FE). </
I had a chance to play the second game first, and it seemed to me like a pretty, but shallow shooter with a horror aspect that did not really work. When I saw the first game in PS3 bargain bin, I bought it out of curiosity. I was surprised how different this game plays and looks. It's much slower, more atmospheric, the constant shooting that kills the suspense in modern games is not there. But I was totally shocked by a scene when my char came to celebrate birthday w
This is silly, the militia equipment should scale with tech.
I would be wary to just "download the file from Internet", since there are a lot of infected ones. It's the easiest way to make a trojan horse. Better install from original sources. http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findtheproblem/qt/dll-download.htm In fact it is possible that an antivirus quarantined the file because it was considered infected. It's also possible that Fallen
"Massive potential" - I keep hearing this expression since Elemental:WOM release. It's usually related to games that people desperately wanted to love, but for various reasons, it was not possible. Just like with Tristan and Isolde.
Did you try searching for the file? Do you have it? If so, what version and where in the filesystem?
