This won't be in the initial release of Sins (not enough time left to add any more major features), but espionage is certainly something we may look at for an expansion pack. So when does that come out?! I like the idea about reasearching corpese, okay this isn't brought up much but the

One of the things that I would like to see is the ability to design your own ships. In many great games(Gal Civ 2) players were able to customize or build in game ships. This easy to use interactive window allowed everybody who wasn't in to modding the code of the ships. I think that this would be a great addition to an already amazing game. You could include the shipyard feature as an extra program since this is a rts game. Anyone else like the idea?
thank u! can't wait to see how it works with some human players!
hmmm i wonder if there will be cloked ships from others, that would be an interesting wrinkle. perhaps the advent would become like the dark templars! would certainly make an interesting game......
yeah I mentioned that awhile ago... nothing was ever said by the Dev's other than it will be able to be recycled... But by what races? All of them? u would think all cause the TEC would be doing everything they could to conserve stuff right?
(on topic) it seems that everyone is happy maybe in need of some serious therpy (i.e. all of us)! but yes the devs are doing a good job!
yes u should anyway does any1 kno when beta 3 is coming?
With internet gameplay options coming out, does any1 kno if people will be making "empires" within the game then u would have empire battles or something, that would be cool.
y not add that feature to the Construction ships, then they so something else useful besides just fly around and blow up when ur done building, put it on the tech tree, because only big structures would leave a lot of debris.
ok well off mines the whole idea of planet defense being realelistic would be coming from the suface as well as the space platforms, the planet should get a squad for each lvl of civic infustructure, or some sort of special gun on the surface that get s maned until population gets below a certain level, something like that before u go all technical and start talking about using IFF Transpoders and stealth mines.
On the main topic of this thread: I think that it would be awesome to have the ship debris in the game, as well as allowing the option to let them stay for an extended period. (obviously it would take some impressive hardware to manage A LOT of debris, so there should be the option to tone it down ) Its possible and I've done it... Just set the time to disappear to like 5 hours... well some games i play i just don
no! bad spellers untie!
no i didn't buy the game cause of the logo, i saw the box, read it saw ti was dream catcher and thought that it would be a cool game! so there
Another interesting idea would to have actual moons and actual planetary defenses. Planets should be able to have like 3-5 fighter squads on the planet, rather than having to build a hanger which only contains 2 squads. Once a planet is stripped of it's defenses, there is nothing to do about keeping it. A planet should be able to support ICBMs or fighter bays or something like that to protect it from sieges and to destroy siege frigits. Also, having moons orbiting in a
Now what happens when A) A mine's transmitter fails or B) somebody runs into your system and jams the signal? You would be utterly screwed ! Believe it or not there is a trick to gauss defense, and while yes an attack bonus would be nice, I like the idea of being able to build things to suplement them. if anyone has seen/played halo then u kno the defen
well capitals per system would be cool if they got rebalanced then it would be a much better addition.
Well the only real factor i didn't like of galactic civ 2 was the fact that I couldn't control my ships in combat and pull off sneaky tricks. It was just all done by math --- boo math. I miss being able to board, shoot down incoming missiles, disable ships. All which were present in that great game MOO2 which I'm not saying should be cloned but def. should be looked at. Another option of course is to completely copy G-civ 2 and just make a fleet and l
well im not saying dream catcher is bad in anyway, in fact thats a reason that i bought their game, i saw the logo, but now it collects dust without a CD case lol
are the space ponnies coming is that it? (read more posts)
You know whenever lorkosc joins the thread it always spirls into a rathole..... WAT ARE U HIDDING!!!
thats point of perspective. haha, plan foiled! agree! and while waffles are certainly tasty that should be a game not a move! imagine the next ironclad game: The Pink Ponnies WAFFLE MAKER!
the way the game played sucked, while the game was a visual feast the gameplay was truly lacking! the dialoge system was very choppy along with the unexplained controls it was very confusing \_/ was def not worth the money
I agree with that reasoning, this supply/logistics range limit sounds very similar to the logistics mechanic in Gal Civ II. Which was good, but kinda annoying late in the game. I like the idea of effective limits imposed by scaling costs, rather than hard barriers to distance traveled such as in Gal Civ II. Yes the Gal Civ II was a great game at this, and while the hard barrier did get annoying(that one little corner of the map was
I have a giant question. Is everyone in some way shape or form happy with this game? I mean I played and tested many other games and they all fell apart (genesis rising). Is the community happy with the game right now? Are there any major disappointments? genesis rising was a great disappointment and def not the $50 i spent on it, but if the beta 2 is this well balanced and so fun to play then it can only get better from here! Devs ur doing a g
I hope the intro starts off black and white (cuz its artistic) , and then goes full scale kick ass mode... who can ask for anything more?
