And the saga continues. Following the advice of Cari_Elf I reinstalled the drivers, and still my 6600gt was misidentified as a 6600go. I'm not even getting as far as the game starting in most cases. Start app, and then within a couple of minutes I get massive artifacting accross the screen before the PC locks up totally. Once it rebooted my computer! (A first for me! A game has NEVER done that to me before). I've tried running it windowed, turning off AA, shutting down background apps that could be stealing focus (zone alarm, primarily). My system's an XP22
