I am patiently waiting for your reasoned explanation as to why Czars are inherently bad.
There is nothing good about putting people in places of power (potential places or otherwise) within the government when they are not elected officials. These people were not voted in and as such, do not necessarily convey the mindset of the people who elected them in.
No the fact that one poll says 42% and the rest are completely different should be the opposite of cause of concern, it is cause for dismissal. It is an OUTLIER. I do not know how much statistical knowledge you have, but if you do not understand why it should be dismissed then please take the time to understand statistical analysis. 33 Czars = bad? 33 Czars = scary? Please explain why 10 is g
I read your long post. I saw very little "common sense" and "logic". Mostly I saw opinions and fear. I could address it point by point but it is hard to find coherent points to address. You decided to paraphrase Obama saying "the war on terror is over" but he has never ever said anything close to that. You presented the president as wanting increased troop levels in Afghanistan as some sort of contradiction, however he has been saying that the war in Afghanistan needed more troops sinc
Anyhow, they have had MONTHS to read and digest the bill proposals now, and anyone who can't do that is incompetant regardless of party affiliation .
Now you're getting the point.
An interesting number, 42%. Why is it when there are dozens of polls released, do you latch on to the Zogby outlier? Hmmmmmmmmm. It seems you will ignore all other evidence and accept only the number which reflects your personal opinions/feelings. Most other polls put the president in the low to mid 50's in approval. Which is just fine. In fact its about equal to President Bush's approval ratings just before 9/11, and President Bush did not have an inherited tanking econo
Really? I do not recall anyone in this thread calling you a racist. I would venture a guess that if you think the country is in a freefall then that makes you a staunch Republican and thats about it.
That is good. I do not recall saying anyone here called me a racist. There are many liberals out there who believe and claim just because people disagree with Obama or prot
Which "lawmakers" admit to not understanding it? Grassley? Mostly ones with big R's in front of their names correct?
Right. The one's with big D's simply admit to not having read it. Death panels. Counselers. Call it what you want, but this is not something that should be held for others to decide, and the proposal as it stands leaves it open to interpretation, which is incredibly dangerous when you are talking about life and death. &nb

One vote for hex based grids and turn based battles. I have always been fond of hex based grids in computer games. It gives a bit more of an organic feel and brings me back to the PnP days.

Oh, I almost forgot. Since I am unhappy with this president and the freefall that this country is in, that makes me a racist. /facepalm
agreed, to be at 42% after 6 mo. or so.. I don't like polls myself.. but typically... their dead on.
Polls aside... (quotes are paraphrasing) "I will reach across party lines for true bipartisanship." Here, republicans, here is a heaping serving of dog crap. Eat it. When the republicans don't take a bite, they are berated for not embracing bipartisanship. "The war on terror is over. Troops will be coming hom
Because leftists and democrats read books, instead of watching TV or listening to the radio.
Actually, leftists are out on the streets with their hands out waiting for someone to fill it. This presidency is already becoming a laughing stock. In record time, I might add.
In a turn-based game, I really can't see upstream bandwidth being a big problem (beyond any mod element exchange system, which may be what they're talking about). Some games are latency or bandwidth critical, but I really can't see Elemental being a game like that.
Hmmm. Theoretically, I would think the opposite. In a real time game, data is rather consistent and the code can be optimized for fluid game play. Turn-based could be a bit different si
Your logic is flawed. First of all magic is very rare, as are people who can do it (IE our avatar in game). So technolgoy would still progress, indeed the 'wizards' themselves would want new stuff invented so they could concentrate more of their power in other ways. 50 easily trained musket-using soldiers are cheaper and easier to train than 50 longbowmen. Also magic would still be so all-powerful that the 'wizard' types
Sins and Demigod also had Collector's Editions. However, if you pre-ordered the digital-only version (which can't be collector's since there is no box), there was no way to upgrade to the CE box. However, it has been stated somewhere that "someday there may be an upgrade button" that would allow people to upgrade to the retail (and thus collector's) box. For the record, Stardock only sells the un-collector's edition box at retail outlets, and I guess when the col

Are there any rumors, grumblings, or plans for a Collector's Edition of Elemental? If so, and I pre-order, will I be able to upgrade to the CE if it becomes available later? Anyhow, kudos on this game. MoM is possibly my favorite game of all time, and with Stardock's reputation, Elemental has the potential to be epic. I'm drooling already.
