You might find the [link="https://www.galciv.wikicities.com/wiki/Galactic_Civilizations_Wiki"]wikik[/link] more helpful. You can add too it if you know something not included. The more that do, the more helpful it will be.

Hmm... Looks like a test is in order. I would like to know for sure how TA works. I do know that in the past, each upgrade raised the total by 5%, as I count how many are left by that number. It is always x4 then x9 (as in plus 5) and then x4 and then x9.

I get a kick out of when folks blame a virus scanner for not working well when the definitions are out of date. At any rate, it makes a good point. Security only works when configured right and not overridden. No matter what is chosen, you have to set it up right, keep it up to date, and actually use it!

Did you click here? Just click the blue button and choose 'view error log'. Curious if it logged anything. If so, please copy and paste it here. Thanks!

Galactopedia is your friend. Can't recall where you get the thing. You'll have to run a search for the updated TA version. I believe vanilla in TA would be Terran since they are pretty much the base for the game, or the minor race tree since it is the most generic and least focused.

I think your comments and suggestions for GC2 would be better posted [link="https://forums.galciv2.com/311121"]here[/link]. Sounds like a plan Brad! I am really looking forward to the updates to GC2, but I am really interested to see what your new 4X game is going to be like. Keep up the great work!

Can you post the error log from Impulse? Click the help icon in the the top right and choose 'error log'. Maybe then we can tell what is going on.

To clarify: The initial bonus is 4%. All upgrades to the starbase's mining ability add 5% each. Each resource is done the same way. I believe all races in TA have the same rules, but some cannot build as many upgrades.

I'm afraid that torrents are quite mild my friend. The real shady places are much worse. My recommendations are based on the experience of my customer base, online research, and results of my testbeds. I don't even see the need to have anti virus on my system. I know with exact precision every file the runs on my system and remove them professionally much faster than a scanner.

I finally stopped playing RTS when I went 3 years undefeated in my group of friends. No one will play me anymore. I do love the genre though! It is quite a rush when your opponent falls for your cleverly devised trap and you realize you have finally outwitted him.

Just to be clear: In my case, I did not select a custom install folder in impulse, but let it use the default it chose, which turned out to be incorrect. There were no registry keys for TA, and DA's were correct and accurate (I double checked them).
Would probably be helpful to post about this in the Impulse Beta forum so the Impulse devs can address it
Look at [link="https://forums.galciv2.com/310384"]Restore From Archive[/link] Kryo. It would
It annoys me that when you upgrade a ship design, all weapons and modules are removed. I like to tweak my designs constantly, and having to re-add everything when I just wanted to check if I could squeeze in another weapon after researching a new miniaturization tech gets old pretty fast. How about leaving these components in, and instead having a button "remove functional components" in the ship designer itself? That would be easy to use and make everyone happy!
This is

I believe it uses the files from the previous games (thats why you need them installed to play TA). You can always uninstall/reinstall if you want to be sure everything is ok.

Well, there are the Terror Stars, which tend to cause those exciting supernova shows you are wishing for. Just don't buy the front seat tickets. I hear they are not as great a value as everyone says.
So they have taught the AI to be as treacherous as a human. I am both thrilled and a little scared , guess I will have to start watching my back from now on.
I just hope that Brad doesn't design the first real robot AI.
