Thanks for the heads-up on the right-click--I knew I was missing something! Unfortunately I do not yet have rally points figured out, but this is a good start.
Just a question: is there a checkbox that will set ships to auto-launch when constructed? I'm getting very annoyed with manually launching 20 constructors a turn... A second question: how does one differentiate, in the planet screen, between ships you're launching, if they happen to look sort of similar?
Re: my above post: restoring the savegame solves the "frozen mouse cursor in WinXP/GalCiv" issue, though I do have to reboot first. (Yeah, it happened twice more last night.) Oddly, the actual mouse is not frozen; I was able to figure out where the now-invisible cursor was. Strange. I'm on the latest version of Logitech Mouseware, btw, if it makes a difference. Oh, and the game NEVER crashes now--no more death-freezes. Interesting lacun
A few thoughts: The AI works up technology and colonizes faster on equivalent difficulty ratings. I got a weird "mouse freeze" bug--which remained when I swapped out of the application. I was actually able to move the mouse and get a cursor on my second monitor (extended desktop), but it remained frozen both in the app and on the Windows desktop on my primary monitor.
