Wrong forum. -> Modding Forum. ;) You need to adjust the following files in the GameInfo folder: RESEARCHSUBJECT_CAPITALSHIP_MAXBUYLEVELPHASE0.entity RESEARCHSUBJECT_CAPITALSHIP_MAXBUYLEVELPSI0.entity RESEARCHSUBJECT_CAPITALSHIP_MAXBUYLEVELTECH0.entity Now, in the normal GameInfo folder those files are compiled, so you can't read them (well, you can, but it's just garbled mess). So, download the 1.04 modder resources from [link="https://forums.s
Anyone else seen this or know what happened? Wondering if I'll be able to continue from last Autosave - I just shut down PC and went to bed so dunno yet if it will happen again at same point in game.
Never seen that happening. If you could replicate that crash, please do so and send the savegame where it happens, minidump if one got created (probably not) and a description of what had happened to [email protected]. So the devs get a chance to fix it, if
I got the hidden files and folders thing but I still do not see a mods folder should I create one. should I repair the game? And also I see a folder called SD plugins could that be it?
Go into the game, then into the Options menu. There go into the Mods submenu. There click on show mod folder (something like this, don't remember the exact name). This will show you the location of your mod folder.

After I've copied the original bailknight mod and overwrote it with the WLd + bailknight graphicmod v1.2 it worked too. Was I supposed to do that anyway? If yes, must have overlooked that.

*****WLd + bailknight_graphicmod_v1.2 That one crashes on me while trying to enable it. *WLd [Combat Visual Mod] Stand Alone That one works fine though. :( The Marza's rocket explosions look mighty brutal, I must say. :D

As Advent, bring some upgraded Guardians with you and repulse them all to oblivion. I.e. divide the pirates in smaller fleets with the Guardians and destroy them one at a time.

Try deleting the user.settings file. (Use the windows search if you don't know where it is located.) If it doesn't help, it won't wreck anything, since the game easily will create a new one on start.
PLEASE PLEASE GOD PLEASE. ALLOW US TO CHOOSE STARTING POSITIONS.
QFT
Except it's not, though debatable for the TEC. The culture bonuses for the Vasari (+damage) and Advent (+shield mitigation) for your entire fleet will give you a much higher return than a few extra hangars around some planet. The AM recharge for TEC isn't bad, but not always needed. As for the Deliverance Engine in regards to the OP, stop trying to think of it as a planet killer

Using mods has nothing to do with the galaxy forge. When you are in the game, go to the option. There you'll see a submenu called Mods. Go there. There you can show the path where you have to copy to mods to. You can also enable mods there.
there is no option human and ai placement is purely random
Which is still very annoying. Hint to devs. Hint. Hint. ;)
Do we know what Unfair gets? Is it a lump of resources or +20% resource rate?
AFAIK it's +100% to both resource and money income. Nothing else.
*curse the lack of edit button*I wanted to add that seeing all alliances at the glance of a screen would be like trying to play poker with all your cards laid out
Really? Ok, that's just... Never saw that in the beta. Would have strongly protested then, since it's quite annoying in SP to have to watch for a small skirmish of the AI every time I want to know their diplomacy status.

Yeah, strike craft don't have full collision detection. They like to fly through capital ships. They shouldn't fly through planets and stars, path finding should prevent that, but it doesn't seem to work all the time.
The Snowball / 1C version of Sins is legit. However, it's currently best for Russian customers to obtain updates direct from Snowball so they get the latest localization files (we are not providing them).
Russia gets a release but the rest of Europe doesn't. How... strange. ;p
That wasn't a one time only thing either Seeing Blair or Craig post on the forums at 3-4 am in the morning wasn't unusual in beta or a bit post-release
Yeah, those guys sometimes got a bit (ok, not just a bit, quite a lot) crazy with their work hours. Thankfully they survived till this day. ;)

Slow way: Go to each Novalith cannon and add it via the shift-key to a numbered control group. Fast way: Display all your planets via the empire tree. Press alt and select all novalith cannons. Add them to a numbered control group. Either way you can cycle through them with the tab-key. Just don't have stacked symbols activated in the empire tree, or you'll only select one novalith in each grav well (if you have multiple there).
is there any way u can giv your ai allys comands
Yep. Select a friendly AI ship or planet. You now have 3 options in the unit command menu. Defend, Attack and Cancel. With the Defend option you can give the AI the order to defend a planet (or ship). With the Attack option you can give the AI the order to attack a planet (or ship). With the Cancel option, you'll cancel the current order you have given the AI (attack or defend).<
