ok, i have now installed the latest patch (1.1) if i load an old game, does it use the updated stuff, or the old? or not function at all? (so basically, can i continue or shall i start a new one)

i spam my special mini fightas (spelt correctly) in the beginning of the game, where there has not yet been the time to research medium- large- huge- hulls, and weapons and defenses are relavitvly primitive. in those case my numbers count... especially with military upgrades. I can churn out these quickly, which is what i like best they;
wellll.... if you think about it logically, they want their citizens to be "free" and of course, as always in war, propganda about the "barbaric, child eating, women raping, men slaughtering aliens" (aka you) is bound to happen. they hate you. no reason to give planets to you. Give planets to someone else and hope they survive. although yeah, i still cant think historically... maybe because if they surren
two different types of games.. ones real time, ones turn based. i loves hw 1+2 but wasnt epic enough for my tastes, and the ai wasnt up to scratch unlike here where it can kill me if i let my guard drop...
hire the minor races XD i believe the main people will still go after the minor ones, thus leaving you with less to fight against. every bit helps
when i first played this game and saw the snathi, i was speechless for a minute... then my friend next to me says "would you like a nut???" but there is no such button.... WAAA lol... and minor races form by themselves sometimes i think... only ever happened once to me.
i agree with eratosthenes... any way to increase the freqeuncy of events???
reformatting does the trick too... hey, it does!
i would like to see the weapons actually fire, instead of just one attack with the damage equalling how many weapons of that type you've used. weapons actually firing out of their mounts, not the sides... i.em the one closest to the enemy.
it also depends on where on the map you end up... in the campaign, (and in new games) the altarians always managed to piss me off no end with their expansion, same with the iconians. on some maps, i dont stand a chance against intelligent opponnents, (try fighting someone who has a 1:3 ratio of planets) on others i do... depends on the map.. AND THE SETTING ON THE AI XD /\--- is a n
hmmmmm does the stuff include military res? in one of my games i managed to bag 3 of them with res sector. walked over my enemies with those bonuses XD
woooaaahhh so is destabilisation the espionage slider? i have the galactic civilizations II cds..... no mods, no updates. (collecters edition if it makes a dif)
any way i can set it so that it jumps to soil enhancement/habitat improvement/terraforming LAST?? because i find it annoying having to click on every green square to build something there after it jumps to a tile which needs upgrading to be useable... any help? (no spamming about me being a lazy git who doesnt like spending extra time clicking a bit more XD )
well, on the minimum requirements it says pentium 3...
its supposed to increase all abilities by 1% EVERY turn. the 1% everyturn part is more correct then the beginning part. i dont know if its just beginning abilities, or all of them i read it somewhere but dunno if its accurate...
ok, heres the problem. i get these messages from them saying : oh youre so smart yada yada yada surrounding our blinking planets with ships and attack in a "lightning strike". if i was on intelligent or + i will kill them... ok. problems: the snathi (WHO I REALLY WANT TO PLAY AS!!!!) complain. but i dont even see their homeworld yet! (i later found out it was over 10 tiles away) I later found out th
i must thank the production team for their sense of humor
nvm... i found the xml document detailing all of them XD
i dont think theres a rule against this... but what choices have you had to make? so far? because ive never seen the one in the screen shot before.... my current list: world was pirate base, leader wants to do business. Sea creatures, do we kill them? Giant worms, (vertical which stick out of the ground). do we kill them do improve quality of planet? Underwater domes. Do we kill/move the population to conduc
..... the higher the difficulty the high the intelligence of ais i think...
erm... i generally fiddle around a lot... rule of thumb: keep in green spending. and since im authoritarian, i can set it quite high, (in the beginning where cash is short) but i keep it just before the point where every one stops having er... addition people to tax...
.... basically its this: evil, selfish bunch, (cuz they only think of themselves with all those bonuses) --- price to pay: gets picked upon. Bonus: Good planet bonuses. (i make LOADS of evil choices and im always the first to go to war... i never start it (yet) but they come to me...) but having extra production on a class 31 planet is good <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gi
n that aphrodisiac thingy... you also forgot harmony crystals - xeno ethnics micro-repairbots (one of the miniturization techs)
