vasari is still strong but titans are weakening more and more because their only survival technique is to level up quickly to withstand bombers. SBs r more defensive now.. Thier economy and dps is also boosted by dlc significantly because they can escape their dependencies on resources and take advantage of social development to mass produce ships before starting trade--but the goal is always to rush for trade ports and backup trade with social dev.
@psychoak: To be fair they go shot into critical system while in warp. That is why Enterprised seemed outclassed. There is also the fact that the ships size and small crew me

I would like to inform everyone on ICO that I'm going to be using the MAW after desperations nerf and theres nothing you can justify why i should not. The first thing is of-course the issue with Orkies having there weapon upgrade time increased from 25 to 45. The consequences of this is it makes the star-base a more defensive structure than was originally designed to switch to assault mode quickly for expansion. The deployment upgrades solves this isssue but it
It certainly would be interesting to play with 200 planets and no late game lag, although that might be too much even for a multithreaded engine on an 8-core processor. Mostly I play with less than 60 planets to avoid this problem. Sins II will hopefully have all the great features that the forum fans want!
On Ico we play games with like 98 Planets on a single Core/thread, GPU, dx9 and a 2gb 32bit

The use of acronym WMJ does not mean anyone actually understands it. It could be argued that Zotkar doesn't even understand what it means (lol maybe he just did it for trollz, who knows!). Free For All (FFA) This game mode actually allows the need for WMJs because I have noticed you can get attacked by 2 to 3 opponents at any time so to escape all those odds then one must use the best tools available and hope to end the game quickly. ICO teaches you that patience is the key to winning and Vasari is OP so your more likely to win the war or be at a stale mate where you Cannon yourself to someones home world and force a rage quit due to exhaustion. Friendly trolling is profitable and Jerk trolling leads to liquidation or exhaustion. Edit: Quick Question: Which is more difficult: Creating a 64bit engine without multi-threading or creating a Multi-threaded 32bit engine? <
While we greatly appreciate the interest in expanding the Sins' engine, these types of feature are in the realm of sequels.
oops, Yarlen confirms that theres a sequel and its in 64bit with a pinch of multi-threading. I can't wait for the ad campaign to start! [e digicons][/e]

the DLC is the funding because 100,000 downloads is $500,000 for a job that took maybe 3 or 4 engineers at a cost of maybe $100,000 to $200,000 a year. They need 300,000 dlc downloads to bank over $1 million.

Everybody just wants to play with humans, everybody thinks they can come online like its a first person shooter and camp somewhere while trying to figure which button is for changing weapons. Today i totally ignored a noob and let him face off countless times versus my SBs and culture bombed (using vasari lol ) his little empire. I think he had fun.

The funniest of the new players are those who join 5s games without ever beating the AI and they will tell you that they have no idea of whats going on in terms of what ship to build while your getting doubled. These are truly good times indeed for sins, funny times and time to hold back on feeding newbies. Encourage them to play ffa first so they can get titan rushed up until they learn how to rush for titans and the rest should come naturally.
