The day the Ai is programmed to counter 50 lrf with 60 flak frigates and fighters from caps -and not suicide on starbases, switch to bombers and bomb turrets and star-bases from the edge of the gravity well while killing trade ports and culture temples first when invading is the day you can kiss your single player games goodbye. You will loose like chickens in a slaughter house and blame iron clad for releasing an unplayable game. Lets not forget fleets programmed to micro f

[quote quoting="post"] When on the defense, how on earth do you deal with these bastards running in and destroying everything before they finally die? I could have sworn that they were vulnerable to fighter strikecraft, but I just watched 12 squadrons of elite fighters do a flyby on a adjundicator, and not even deplete its shields. If I am not able to have a sizable fleet on standby in the exact gravity well being attacked, what's the quickest way to kill them? Or
just because sins is a 32bit game does mean i can afford to be cheap. [e digicons];P[/e]
the cruel ai cheats, the unfair ai is ok but easily countered by having a stronger economy and rushing it down.. Its ok for helping you figure out your macro-strategy mistakes.

I hate modders-they really piss me off. I'm more interested to know whether the suns gravitational pull as anything to do with ships doing long distant jumps. This business of having to go to the suns orbit to make long distant jumps is too mind bongling-and don't give me that load of crap about the sun being the centre of the everything bcause it sounds like the same bs our ancestors were saying about the earth without evidence. and here i was raping a cap with my halcyons and swarm of defense vessels. Mmh i guess a little accuracy is in order: Desciples will kill a cap faster than a defense vessel: Bombers will kill a cap faster than defense vessels. A defense vessel does only 25% of its dps on caps but a 100 defense vessels will still kill a cap-- so why is it your using the slowest killer you may ask? uum cause everyone else has trouble killing defense vessels silly. -RIddleKing your
Can we all establish one key principal: I can kill a titan with my bare hands and so can you. If you don't believe me then your living proof that man can live without a brain.

and when the developers sat down and gave you a race from independence day that strips planets for its resources and moves on: you didn't thank them. and when they gave you a race that resurrects the dead like a witch cult: you didn't thank them. The 3 caps i mostly use are: 2 Halcyon + 1 Mothership for shield regen or the trinity. The others are just bonuses people-which depends on the situation when ii know i can avoid them getting sniped by lrm.
They won't ignore culture because of this planet element and I'm sure the culture temple remains and so do the star-base upgrades.
Guardians are-in every sense of the word-high maintenance. In a firefight between defense vessels and assailants where you need to micro there movements between enemy lines the guardians need not be in that fleet but just near by to turn on shield projection while channeling. There basically static units in their role on the battlefield and should be treated as such.
i like the idea of free culture spread from planets because in the current game you have to put down 2 harmony temples to get the culture temple for the extra 10% allegiance at your hw, the bonuses for the other colonies and the boost to resource extraction. This means you could go straight to hostility temples and start producing flak to illuminators that benefit from the new military buffs to culture.

Advent is counter strategist race: Don't play them like the other races if you want to easily win because Tec and Vasari are long range frigate dependent and advent is flak. I think its size won't matter- its a planet killer (takes control of hostile planets and then you build repair platforms in a gravity well to repair it-assuming they could repair titans).
