As for saving clicks, I like the proposed changes, but I would like to add... Colony ships...When I pull up the Planet Screen to see the Unowned Planets, if I click on one to move the screen to it, might it be possible not to de-select my colony ship? I hate having to click the find button a few times until I find my colony ship again. Also, finding starbases are a nightmare for me on gigantic maps. The mini map is useless for this as you can't show just starbases (if
Norad
Approval = Intertainment Network, etc. As for the other tiles, I've not see where they do not work. Building a factory on a bonus tile cuts down on build times for both ships and improvements for that planet in the games I've played.
Yeah, that is what the autoemail said. Sorry about resending it in a reply. As normal, I wasn't thinking. As mentioned above, I'm running fine with the new fixes. Anyway, now I know if I have to submit anything again that both the subject and body has to have something in it.
Well, dang! I got an email back saying that the email I sent with my SE and debug info attached to it got filtered out. Since I said what I had to say in SE, I left the body blank, which I'm guessing is the reason it was sent back? Maybe SE should have a note saying not to leave the body of the email blank? Would help those of us that just assume the attachments are all that is needed when sending the email.
I didn't get 10 as I was back playing 1.1, but 11 seems to have fixed my CTD. I too tried CTRL-N about 5 times before starting to play. Was able to play through a little over a year before I closed it down. I have to agree with Moose and DG above, you folks could teach the so-called "big dogs" a thing or two in customer service. Until this one, I was almost to the point of no longer buying a game until it hit the bargin bin so that way I could check to see if the makers had patch
Just an update: Put 1.1 back on and played a good 20-30 turns with no issue. Re-installed Test9, CTD after turn 6. Guess I'm going back to 1.1 until 10 comes out. ***Edit*** Just for laughs I installed Test8 but got the same CTD.
I'm having the same CTD even after going back to desktop to start a new game instead of using CTRL-N. SEZip and Debug.err sent. Now it will not run any game more than 5-10 turns before CTD. I've re-installed Test9 and still get the same result. Going to put 1.1 back on and see if it will go back to running then put Test9 back on.
Umm...Wade, the bold is a nice touch, but I think you're wrong. Try building 3 influnce SB's in your enemy territory where they will all touch as many planets at the same time as possible. Although there are a few modifiers involved, the planets have just as much a chance of swapping as if your planets influnce was closing in on them. If by chance it isn't suppose to do that, then I've encountered a bug on multiple occasions.
I didn't start experiencing crashes/freezing up until 1.1. Everything seemed to run better with the beta. The game I was just playing froze and I had to power off the pc. The Debug.err either doesn't show where it froze or I'm overlooking it, so i'm not sure what happend. It is possible that it was memory related as I hadn't restarted this thing for a few days and I've been playing daily.
The Multi Vs. SP arguement is similar to the Intel Vs. AMD arguement in that whichever way one's mind is set, no words from the other side will cause a change. I'm on the side of the SP'ers due to many bad times with Multi. Multi seems to attract folks who want nothing more than to have the highest rank no matter the cost. The game no longer matters. Loosing is not an option to the majority of them. Cheating/exploits can and will be used to further this goal. While SP lacks the social aspe
