I agree that even a Hard AI is a fairly crappy team mate, but play against them and see how "crappy" they are.

Gifting wouldn't really lower it much, because the score is calculated using the integral of the graph line for each scoring portion (military, population, tech) etc. This means the total area under each curve, then modified based on how many turns it took, what type of victory is achieved, difficulty level, and galaxy size. So I guess do a cake walk tiny galaxy, do jack the whole time, tech victory gives lowest modifier and rare habitable planets and see what you get.
This sounds mad cool. Is there a way I could dl this off you, or is it just set up on your PC? Also, how much work does it take to set this sort of thing up? I'd love to build my own universe like this.
hahahaha. I was going to say that happiness was 2 chicks at the same time, but what you said was plenty funny as is. This happened to me twice today btw. The planets I snagged weren't as insane as yours, but still worthy steals.
Oh and one more thing. I LOVED Mass Effect. LOVED it. (the PC version). However, that being said, the "Bringing Down the Sky" Expansion made me hate mass effect and its developers. The game ran beautifully until i loaded that stupid pointless piece of crap Addon that required the patch to play. After the patch, the sound was super glitchy regardless of what settings i tried, what drivers i used, and im certainly not buying new hardware because THEY screwed it up. So now
After reading many replies, I have to throw in for MOO3. I followed that game's development like a stoner followed the Dead in the 80's. Every minute tidbit that came out, I was frothing at the mouth over. When it came out, I played it for maybe 3 hours before I got too bummed out and stuck it in a drawer somewhere. When I randomly came across GC2 a month after it came out while in Brest Buy, I began playing it and it was as if the crashed and burned moo3 had risen from
Ok I just finished my first all abundant huge galaxy. Best game I ever played. I was several orders of magnitude more powerful in every aspect than I ever have been. My score was 128,000. Considering how much ass I kicked, I was hoping for 200k or more. A tad frustrating considering how many hours I put in, but I learned a few things and I have a couple Q's. Part of what I screwed up was maximizing my "Front end of the curve" in regard to military power. Not sure how many points this
In that baseball pic, is that the old dude from Frasier?
Master Trade also unlocks Economic Capital which is better to build one the home planet - it has the most population.
Just regular Trade unlocks this.
The ship upgrade time is dependent upon proximity to an influence-generating feature...starbases and planets...but not the relative strength of the influence.
You answered something I've wanted to know for a while but never remember to ask. Well played my feline compatriot.
haha I've done this. More than once. I now try to pick colors that are distinguishable from every race. It's kinda not that easy to find one that I like using though. I use dark green personally.
You know Chuck, I was thinking BS myself before I personally did it. Not on a gigantic (Yet), but I've done tiny up to and including Huge. It takes practice and fairly precise methodology, but it can be done my friend. Feel free to try. There's a monster thread dedicated to it and several genius players that are more than happy to provide info.
If you're building your econ capital on your homeworld at all, you're doing it wrong.
Explain.
In case you have a shred of doubt left, TA is siiick. get it! Nice Meklar pic too.
23.) You start paying people you don't like to fight each other.

Their customer support is very helpful. It seems the issue is resolved, but if one crops up, try throwing them an e-mail. I'd hate for you to miss out on a classic game that will consume untold hours of your life :D
After my erection from seeing a PQ 26 with insane bonus tiles subsided, I would max out income generation and research all over that mofo.
Do everything as early in the game as possible, and you will see a nice jump in your scores.
Anyone that has banged out a sick scoring game can not say enough to emphasize this. I took it to heart and started making combat ships earlier, even though they were kinda limp. But get on the board early, and I saw a noticeable increase in my mil score at the end of the game. And congrats on the win!! Start up a new one and slaughter some more :D
I got it about 3 weeks ago. You gotta do all races that existed in DL and perhaps custom. But you can play those races in any expansion. I did my last 2 in TA and I got the medal. It's a sexy medal. Green is my favorite color ;D
All the people shown on the web page are girls. Is it a girls-only college? If not, and there are tons of gamer chicks, let me be the first to say giggity giggity gooooo!
Or a UP event that all races put X amount of money into the pot for a celebration...
Oh my god you're right. I fail. I've seen that UP event a ton but I've never seen its resulting boost, even if I win it. Just never looked I guess...
1.) Leasing is when you choose the "purchase" option for a building or ship, and instead of the full price pre-selected option, you choose one of the three options below it that has a reduced initial cost, but with a per turn payment for X amount of weeks. For diplomacy, I think you're referring to Tribute. I know AI's can pay tribute as I've seen the Galactic News message indicating it, but I don't believe a player can give or receive per turn or per year tribute. The only way this occurs is if
Terror Stars have only one use as far as I see, and even this is of dubious quality: You get an empire-wide 50% morale boost for a certain amount of time when you have one. I'm not sure how long it lasts, or if blowing up stars can make it go away. All I know is that it gives the bonus. When you check a planet's approval and it shows the break down, it says "+50% from other sources" and this apparently is terror star.
Yeah Mac I think you're right. In my game last night, The Arceans took out the Snathi, and very soon after, this event happened to them.
