The walls are controlled by script. It's not a real wallpaper changer. You'd have to go into DXBuilder mode, open the properties of the object, go into the script and enter the path to the picture you want that object to set as your wallpaper. Then you'd also have to change the object's thumbnail image, but that's more trouble than it's worth. There are lots of cool wallpaper changer widgets here which you can search for. I'd recommend the <a href="https://www.wincus

I'm no big fan of podcasts, but that was actually very good! You guys have great personalities and work well together. :CONGRAT: I think it's great that you guys highlighted some of the great skinners in the community and perhaps that's where the focus should continue to be. The links in the article were a nice touch; I had a chance to check out all their sites/profiles etc. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Love the article! Screenies would be nice. Your descriptions are great, and I like the fact that you took the time to explain how you put together a look. The article has wonderful personal narrative that is sometimes lacking in reviews. Keep it up, wulfn1! :CONGRAT:

Here's one on modifying the Silica Weather widget: LINK I think most weather widgets are reskinned from one by _Martin_ or Richard Mohler. Might want to ask some of the more experienced skinners like Fairyy~ , neophil78, or bilbo1930.

I have to agree with Vad_M and DA...to a degree. This article couldn't be more true in regards to skinners v. developers. I too, noticed that over the last year (and even further back) the amount of people getting into skinning grew faster and faster while the amount of people getting into DX declined alarmingly. Back when I lurked the forums there were many new posts in the DX area every single day and now it is virtually dead. To sum it up, DX is so powerful that no one

I agree that it's a bit early to run a poll. Haven't been around much lately and I just logged on today and was overwhelmed with the new look, so much so I had to implement the wayback machine to remember what the old forum looked like! In comparison the difference is that there are some additional bits of info like member number and who's online. Of those two I only find the online icon useful. Aside from the new style the most significant and positive difference is that by comparison

It would require scripting. Example: 'Called when L-click is released Function Object_OnLButtonUp(x, y, dragged) If not dragged then DesktopX.Object("object1").States("Mouse Away").picture = "c:\myimage.jpg" End If End Function In this example the image is set when the object is clicked.
