So i am sorry if i came across as confrontational or angry.
Hehe, to me you didn't. So no hard feelings. :) We're at the same side afterall. We want this game. How fast paced we play it once we have it is up to each of us.
against those damn infidels
Reminds me of Achmed the dead terrorist. "SILENCE! I kill you!" ;)
Star Adder
Yeah right. How about DMRM (Draconic Magical Rights Management) on spells you trade with allied Sovereigns? They can learn spells from you but they can only teach them to two of their wizards at a time. And if another wiz wants to learn the spell one of the other two has to call-, and have it erased from memory by you. Also the other sov don't own the spells but just a revokable license to use them for which he has to pay annual fees. [e digicons]}:)[/e]
Gee, all you people wanting 100k+ soldier armies must have super duper high-end gaming rigs... [e digicons]:omg:[/e]
It shouldn't be too tough, in the early going, that a small peasant force couldn't hold off. The idea is to give you a reason to at least make some sort of minimal effort to defend your early settlements. After all, protection is one of the primary motivators for people to congregate and form towns and settlements.
Yep, a pack of wolves feeding on your farm's animals or some low level bandits snatching your gold reserves or goblins who abduct townsfolk should be suffi
... we're not going to let the game get watered down just because your upset with the pacing.
I sincerely hope so. [e digicons][/e] I'm wondering how that pacing option is gonna work. Well, just about another two months till I'm gonna find out, I guess. [e digicons][/e]
Difficult to see. Always in motion is the future. [e digicons];P[/e] Personally I wouldn't mind if its september. August has enough warm nights to spend otherwise than playing computergames.
... it was pretty risky to lose a city from wandering beasts
That is one of the things I really liked in MoM, btw. Just as much as I liked raiding pirates in Galciv. @Madmelodie: Yes, I do remember how playing MoM was since I finished my last game about a month ago. You're absolutely right. It was very slow (sometimes even awfully slow) at the beginning. But once produced, troops came fully equiped. You didn't need to research and/
Well. like I said I don't consider the game to be bad because it's not as simplistic as former games of this genre. Or because it might not suit my needs. Or that my needs come before those of many. ;) Just that I'm a little afraid that it's gonna be too long winded for me to really enjoy playing it. However, if things are as ddd888 depicted my concerns might be void after all. That was the exact reason for my post. So people post their experience and other insights to dissolv
I haven't been here for a while. But now that I'm back I can't fight the feeling that what started out to be to a certain degree a spritual successor to MoM turns out to be monolithic successor to Civ. I mean: There are so many more aspects to Elemental like a very detailed research tree, long development phases for army and building enhancements/improvements, Dynasty building and intermarrying that I'm kind of afraid that it will take awfully long until the real fun begins. Re
hopefully elemntal will be able to capture its spirit and the cool heroes
From what I've read so far, it won't. There are so many more facettes to the gameplay of Elemental that will make it much more difficult to be successful at all. Also it will take much longer till you get advanced armies and heroes, not to mention summoned creatures. Don't get me wrong. I believe that Elemental will be a great game. And I can't wait
That's what you get from a "we don't know where we're getting at, so we make it all up as we go along" series. :D
Fringe was a cheap shot at producing another X-Files like mystery series. Boooooooooooring...!!! Flashforward on the other hand was really nice. Granted, it had some weaknesses. But it certainly would have deserved one or two more seasons. *rollseyes* Back to Warehouse 13 then... ;)
Quoting Jalicos, reply 13 EDIT: How can anyone hope to determine the merits of various sci-fi shows without having seen Babylon 5? It starts out slow and has a rocky first season, but no other show comes close to its intricacies of plot. Watching as all the various threads are slowly, patiently drawn down to a singular moment of crisis is exquisite. this man knows what he's on about.
Absolutely! And if you'r
Quoting Fuzzy Logic, reply 39 I do have this thing about Klingon women though. Had a girlfriend do the Andorian blue alien for me. Man, we made a mess. I would be like Kirk, spreading my seed across the galaxy.
Well, if they're really as good as they were portrayed in ST, I'd like to try a girl from Orion... :D
People ... are just drawn to varietal differences. That is scary to most.
Does that meant he very same people who are scared by that would approve if I'd screw my sis?! [e digicons]8C[/e] [e digicons];)[/e]
You'd be surprised about in how many cases this assessment is actually right on the spot. In most cases it's either thai or philipine women though. Japanese or chinese women are not so easy to come by, if you'll excuse my choice of words. ;) Personally, of asian women I favor japanese and Hong Kong chinese women. Continental chinese women are usually not nearly as beautiful as Hong Kong's women.
all women in general are attractive
That might be true on a strictly objective basis. But when it comes to things like attraction there is no room for objectiveness since it's strictly a subjective matter. I for one find most black women not very attractive whereas I'm pretty much drawn to asian, oriental, european and light skinned hispanic women. Do I say they are overall less attractive? No. But to ME they ARE. Not because I'm a racist but because of my tast
Sorry, can't provide a link coz I read it in my TV magazine but obviously a lot of new comic based movies are coming our way within the next two years. Not in that order and some might be missing since I'm drawing from my memory here but: Iron Man2, Green Hornet, Thor, Green Lantern, Captain America, Silver Surfer, Spiderman reboot, Avengers, X-Men Origins Magneto and Deadpool, Justice League, Batman Dark Knight 2, Superman, Doctor Strange ... Personally
Now it was also the warmest March in all of history, according to the climate "experts", while we were having the heating on at home and running around in pullovers and jackets, and still do in mid april... But at least this time they're giving reasons for their claims, that being that El Niño is resposible, and that the unusually high temps were noted mostly in the atlantic and pacific equatorial regions...
In the meantime the ashes spewn out by the volcano on iceland have wreaked havoc on northern and middle europe's air traffic. All airports in Scandinavia, Great Britain and parts of the Netherlands, Germany, France and Belgium are currently closed. Anyone wanting to place bets where and when the next earthquake or major volcanic erruption occurs?
Well, if the OP knows The Daily Show with Jon Stewart so well, he should probably have heard that he usually refers to FOX "News" as FOX Opiniotainment. That says it all... [e digicons][/e] I almost fell off my couch laughing when Glen Beck stated "close to tears" that this is not the USA he used to live in any longer, referring to the public health care issue. Or when I heard they're giving Sarah Palin a commentary show...
There are actually a lot of projects going on which aim on producing a worthy succcessor. But most of them have been under development for ages, and still no final product at the horizon...
And 7.1 in China.
As I've mentioned before I'm much more worried about the Yellowstone Supervolcano going off than I am about "global warming"...
I used to watch the Daily Show online. But eversince I only get a message that urges me to install Flashplayer 10 although it's already installed I can't watch it anymore. [e digicons]>:([/e]
