I just had a funny thought. Let's assume for a moment that the whole story about Jesus dying on the cross and being ressurrected is actually true. In the lights of the events of Battlestar Galactica's finale the thought springs to mind that he was a cylon. Disclaimer: No offence to religious people intended (just in case).

Man! When will people learn that SD has NEVER stated that they're anti-DRM?! [e digicons]:|[/e] They're just anti-DDRM. Read: Just like the most of us they abhore SecuFuck, Shitforce and the likes and instead want to provide a means to protect IP with as little harrassment of the paying customers as possible... And to those who sing along the tune of everyone disliking DDRM being a pirate: Go get a job at EA's PR division! [e digicons]:|[/e]
I guess to be able to play Galactic Civilizations you have to be and behave... civilized... [e digicons][/e]
Good point, but the thing I find so hillariously stupid is the ignorant stance the church takes by stating something like :"No matter what the scientific facts say (assuming they can be found) we won't believe 'em and just keep our version of the story as commented on the findings in said tomb by the church's representative. Snip:"Every Christian knows that Jesus, the son of God and man, died and rose again on Easter Sunday," said Joseph Zwilling, a spokesperson for the Catholic churc
And what if someone would prove that Big J. did NOT die on the cross - hence never really ressurected? You are aware that a family tomb was found which contained his remains, the ones of Mary Magdalene (his wife), his son Judah and other family members, do you? But then you'd probably just answer something like:"No matter how many DNA tests prove it's him. We or the church say(s) it's NOT, so it's NOT. [e digicons]:|[/e] So to conclude things: No matter whether or not
off-topic: Even one of the founders of greenpeace stated that global warming is a natural phenomenon that occurred periodically during all of earth's lifetime, in a documentary on a science channel not long ago. Undoubtedly it's a good idea to reduce CO2 emissions and air polution as a whole, but all this panic mongering is simply just another instrument of furthering the interests of those branches of industry which provide the so called green tech. Also what politicians are
... why should anyone try to stomp their ideas into the rest of the population like if they were pure truth in a can? People should be more worried about being able to get along with other people, specially with people that thinks different (as long as that "different" isn't a "let's kill/destroy/dominate anyone who doesn't agree with us"...
Exactly. I also can't figure why, but it simply is the way of the three major world religions or at least of the leaders of their
Behold the hand of "god"! And I'm not talking about Diego Maradonna. [e digicons][/e]
Christianity is trying to shut down biology in schools because evolution isn't convenient to them. Yeah. Either that or there is no painter at all, and the painting was created due to some complex process. [e digicons][/e]
Actually, you would need a god-maker-maker, and then you would need a god-maker-maker-maker, and (s)he would have to have a god-maker-maker-maker-maker and so on, until you eventually get the "infinity over infinity" problem which could be used to reason that there is never really an end to anything, just more and more layers.
Did you ever see a painting of a painter who paints a painting of a painter who paints a painting of a painter, who paints a painting of a painte
Honestly, some of this EA hate isn't deserved anymore. They've been making a real effort recently to produce more new games and less sequels.
You should probably take note of the fact that a lot of the aversion against EA stems from the awful customer support and the lack of useful game manuals. And of course from it's statements about their customers rebelling against their DDRM schemes having to be all pirates. As for their backpaddeling on DRM: I believe it w
it sounds like his vision for spore was killed by EA and it was reanimated by EA into what it is
Agreed. I have to admit that I don't know the first thing about Spore other than that it looks awful and has SecuSuck on it. Still, if the pre-alpha looked so amazing and the end product was such crap, I get a certain feeling that the marketing division got a say in the development process, telling them that they have to make it appealing to a bigger audience. So the
Dunno. So far Diablo 3 seems to live up to it's predecessors for as much as I have read. As for Sacred 2: I never even finished the first one whereas I have finished Diablo 2 like 5 times... And yes, SIMS seems to be the usual sucker moms'... no wait... soccer moms' ;) dream...
Apparently they are realizing their wrong ways.
I'm still kind of suspicious concerning Ubi's and EA's sudden change of mind. Time will tell whether they truly saw the light or it was just pretense...
Honestly, this is the biggest threat to Stardock's business model out there right now.
Indeed. So this actually makes me think TW is inleague with EA. ;) Seriously though, I really hope this doesn't have any kind of signalling effect to the european market. Here providers are actually throwing flat rate offers at ya like foul tomatoes. One cheaper than the other with bandwiths up to 16 GBit/s and no download limits at all. But then Warner is well
Jee, this is rediculous! Where are you living anyway?! Here there are so many I-Net providers who more or less BEG you to choose them as your provider that none of them could even THINK about pulling such a stunt without having all it's customers immediately switch to another provider.
Due to the DRM crap on recent games I have spent the last two years re-playing old games. At a certain time I felt the urge to dig out n play Wizardry6 and 7. Was great fun despite the low level graphics. Same with Master of Magic.
HEY! That's a great idea for the next Galciv Project. To boost your cultural influence or keep the population happy build pink pony riding facilities. [e digicons][/e] As for hair dressers: Dunno would probably be a good idea to hire some as support staff supervisors or to hold courses in customer orientation. ;)

Okay, now I get it. Thanks for the clarification. But even when this is only true for Impulse. What good reason is there that it wouldn't work with FF when many people refuse to use IE coz it is such a bag of crap?! I know: Sometimes you can't accomodate everyone. But be honest. Would it be THAT difficult?
In case you're wondering why Goo needs IE7,...
See Annatar11? THAT is what I meant. Not that it needs Impulse or some other specific client. Guess you misinterpreted my post there. ;) If this is really the case THAT is somethhing I definitely have an issue with. @Kryo: Very well written and fact stating post there in reply #68. @pyalot: I can relate to your anger. Heck, I even was all fury and flames w
given the choice between the two, it is better for the user if a game uses Goo instead of SecuROM.
So basically you're saying you'd rather choose the lesser of two evils than something good? ;) Seriously though, I think under the current circumstances GOO is the better choice compared to DDRM. I don't even mind that it only runs on windows since, and let's face the facts here, people who want
Actually that was also MY first thought. [e digicons][/e]
