Thanks bananafactor! I will add you to the list. ElfMaiden is still on top with 37 %. I guess that would make you #3!

Oops. I lied. I just calculated that I am doing programming for 15 years.
Paxx I think you are right. I studied social sciences and became a social worker specialized in drug addicts in Amsterdam. I was doing computing just for a hobby since 1979. Since 11 years I am programming for a living. As you can imagine all the questions related to exact sciences are beyond me. An autodidact like me is doomed to have a low score.
Two new entries in the top 10: Transmutate at #8 and Jafo at #10! There are two other new entries also coming from WinCustomize: Xymantix (#14) and BoXXi (#31). In the last four entries we see two women who have probably a real life, but Mack/N.G.E. surprised me. How come that a guy like Mack (who has one of the baddest and meanest machines in this community and is dedicated to the preservation of the idea
Another update from the Dungeons of EFnet. The GreenReaper beat Kris at #5. Majestic (an unsuspected newcomer from Betanews) has a tie with Stardock's Jeff. Hell Dragon rushed to #13. Finally Tarkus name was corrected (sorry about that). What a fight, what fight... Only a few ladies in the list. What has happened to the other ladies in WinCustomize? Scores at the moment: 1) likw1d 74.20 % (EFnet #Stardock) 1) Frogboy 74.20 % (EFnet #Stardock) 3) DHendrix 68.20 %
You see bezerka? And paxx is a reasonable man with a scrore of just 26 %
Report live from the #Stardock channel. Another change in the top 3! SkinStudio finally was able to submit the form and conquered #7. DavidK is the new entry at #10. Scores at the moment: 1) likw1d 74.20 % (EFnet #Stardock) 1) Frogboy 74.20 % (EFnet #Stardock) 3) DHendrix 68.20 % (EFnet #Stardock) 4) migellito 58.40 % (EFnet #Stardock) 5) Nakor 53.60 % (EFnet #Stardock)<br
WBlinds did it in 10 minutes. I checked it
Frogboy offcially announced his score. I was going to declare him #2, because he lied about the oh so important oscilloscope question. He had one in his basement, but it was broken and answer no to the question wheter he owned one. However, it was hard enough to tie with likw1d, so I think he earned the number 1 position together with the other super nerd. Scores at the moment: 1) likw1d 74.2
FrogBoy, would it be 74.20 % Ha! Not enough to beat likw1d, but enough for a tie
There is an confirmed rumour that Frogboy has a tie with number 1 Well done Tarkus! You have beaten WBlinds!
Some dramatic changes at the top! Scores at the moment: 1) likw1d 74.20 % (EFnet #Stardock) 2) migellito 58.40 % (EFnet #Stardock) 3) Nakor 53.60 % (EFnet #Stardock) 4) Furan 51.00 % (EFnet #Stardock) 5) AJCrowley 46.40 % (EFnet #WinCustomize) 6) Scuttle 44.80 % (EFnet #Stardock) 7) rshepard 39.40 % (WinCustomize) 8) ElfMaiden 37.00 % (EFnet #Stardock) 9) JMB1984 36.00 % (EFnet #Stardock) 10) PJPowell 33.40 % (EFnet #Stardock) 11) emi
I am running this thing on EFnet too (Yes, I know. My nerdiness score should be higher because I do this). Scores at the moment: 1) likw1d 74.20 % (EFnet #Stardock) 2) Scuttle 44.80 % (EFnet #Stardock) 3) rshepard 39.40 % (WinCustomize) 4) ElfMaiden 37.00 % (EFnet #Stardock) 5) emilyh 32 % (WinCustomize) 6) WBlinds 27.60 % (EFnet #Stardock) 7) paxx 26.00 % (WinCustomize) 8) MadIce 25.60 % (EFnet #Stardock) 9) Mack/N.G.E. 18.00 % (WinCustomize
Ah. That scared you BoXXi, didn't it? You registered within a day! See, Brad? It works
Come on guys. WBlinds spend about 10 minutes on that.
Well, the test is a bit US orientated too. But one has to translate it a bit to your current situation
I am interested in how high your scores are. http://www.frontiernet.net/~jbennett/nerd/n500test.html I figure that I was a real nerd, but I only scored 25.60%. Who is the biggest nerd on WinCustomize?
Alberto and Jeff are working on a new plugin interface for DesktopX and ObjectBar. That would make life easier for plugin developers that want to create plugins for both products. Alberto told me that I could tell you that, but I can't give you any details yet. I have seen the specs and it is looking good For the time being, try the link that TurdFerg gave you...
AJ: The Matrox dual head driver I am using is not treating the desktop as "one single monitor". My primary monitor has a resolution of 1600*1200 and my secundary one has 1152*864. I can even setup different color depths for each monitor.
Crea: Right. In my case they even called me Sir! I know I am old, but don't tell me.
Come to think of it. I couldn't follow the story anyway, because I was too stunned by the graphics
Elwin, for me the story is less important. A TV screen will not do, because its quality is too low.
Great work Martin! Thanks.
I noticed that when submitting news a title is added to ones logon name - even if you switched it off in the account settings. It would be great if the news section would use the account settings.
If you are interested in computer graphics and 3D animations then you may be interested in the movie "Final Fantasy". Only the voices are real. Anything you see in the movie is computer generated. The director (Hironobu Sakaguchi) wanted "to create a new form of entertainment that fuses the technical wizardry of interactive games with the sensational visual effects of motion pictures" and thinks this movie is a step forward in that direction. The movie is based on the computer
