I have longed for someone to ask this question. Here is the reason: In a multiplayer game, the game needs to send messages back and forth from the "Server" to the player. Nearly every part of Elemental was written this way. Let me show you what I mean in pseudo-code: Message Base: MySoldier->PostMessage(MSG_ATTACK_ENEMY,params); This would be sent to an event queue which woul

Yep, there are lots of stuff that they could "borrow" from Kings Bounty. Passive abilities in tactical battles, spells, dragon pets and such
Thank
I would just like to ask the Devs on what is the main reason why Multiplayer is cut from the game (for now at least). The reason I ask is so that maybe we, the community could come up with workarounds, compromises, etc. Me and my friends are really excited about this game, and are dying to play multiplayer :(
Most games like this, its very hard to find a real person to play with. If this allows you to play multi player with REAL people and AI accounts (or a mix of both). Then it rocks!
Most people who want multiplayer typically has friends to play with. All I'm saying is, I'd much rather have the ability to play with my friends than having some semi-intelligent AI.
I thought the tile forge was a great idea, only to be disappointed by the fact that the only way for you to see them is by a custom map. It should be relatively easy to code the ability for you to swap out a tile(city improvement) from a custom faction with the one you've created. --------- Now the faction creator, is it possible to add Hair color/Skin color sliders into it? It is already embedded into the .xml file of those factions, it just seems to
While this idea is great for building up the AI, It is terrible if this is the solution for lack of Multiplayer. Just my 2 cents.
Woudln't adding ships be somewhat straight forward? The only problem I see with them is that the combat would be extremely boring.
This will seem a bit over the top... Have the ship thing work like they do in GalCiv (Yeah I love that game). Allow you to design ships with components that add different abilities and stats. I.e. Archers for flaming arrows, Ballista for armor piercing shots, catapult for AoE, e
Hi, I would just like to put a few inputs on what I wish to be added to the game(may or maynot be planned) Easy to do: 1. Different Tech trees for different factions like in GalCiv Twilight. Doesn't have to differ much. 2. More Clothing choices. Not that important if #3 cant be done. 3. Have the ability to show specific equipment/clothing part (i.e. hide helmet) 4. Rebalance stats. I.e. Dexterity, Spell Mastery are pretty useless.</p

Hi, I'd like to increase the price of say a ship I am offering to sell to another race. For e.g. I have this new ship design that is way better than any ship others can make, but they offer a pittyful 5k credits. Is there a way to increase the value of these ships by at least 10X, or even better, make it depend on how good it is comparing to other ships in production. The first is good enough though. Other things I'd like to ask: 1. Is th
oh man.... I just want a flying city that looks like a city. =(
I tried piling up A TON of parts, but the more parts i pile, the smaller the parts get. It seems theres a magical box where if your ship reaches to, it shrinks your ship so it wont breach that box... I have been using the "box" hulls, should i use normal hulls instead?
I built Huge Ship, with a ton of addons, but even so, everything seem to have been scaled down to fit the normal Huge ship's size. So, is there a way to manually increase the size of a huge ship to say a starbase? Which file to edit?
I recently designed this very complicated ship, but then the game crashed. I already saved the ship design, and its template. But now when i load the game, i am not able to find it in ship builder, so how do i add it in? Thanks
Dumb question but where do u send the serial number?
