Quoting bug, reply 16"Licensed network library"? So you actually paid for the piece of code that cost you so much time/money? Oh, the irony... That's common business in the industry
Tell me about it... Jus today we had an issue with some JBoss library not releasing sockets in a timely manner. But at least we don't pay for it and we made sure we check for these problems before releasing.</

That way the problem solves itself when you acquire a large number of quits and start being denied access to games. That isn't a very good solution without the option to surrender. Theres no point of staying in a losing game after enough of your team drops, so either you get hit with a +1 l

Didn't attempt online yet, but UI is a big letdown for me. You can click your own skills, click on items to activate and access some stats on you demigod. I mean, can you do anything less? I can't even tell who I'm teamedup up with! Show me the team stats, show me the stats on my minions so I know when I have to summon more. Show me thw war rank so I know when to return to base for some upgrades without me memorizing how many times that dude sais "your war rank has increased". <p

You can drop items for others to pick up by just right-clicking on the item in your item bar. I bet you wish there was a manual now, don't you? You mean the one at https://www.stardock.com/demigodmanual.pdf
No, I mean a proper manua

What I did: jumped into SP tournament and hit - key 5 times. That almost puses the game, so I can scan the skill tree of my demigod, items in the shop and what not. Enough to get me going. Also, be on the lookout for tabs in shops' inventories. There are specific items available for assasins and generals. Oddly enough, it took me a while to discover that [e digicons]:-"[/e]

I'd be content if I could tell how many I still have around. So I don't have to constantly try to resummon. Their health status would be just over the top, for now. I quit giving them orders cause it seems it takes them forever to engage a target. They're just a sort of a meat-shield which sometimes gets to heal me.
Can those of us who don't have any use for a second copy of Demigod get 50% off our first copy of Demigod instead (via 50% refund)?
Just a stab in the dark, but do you suppose this is meant for Stardock make more sales, not give money back? Those servers aren't running themselves for free and we don't pay a monthly fee, so... Plus, more people playing is actually doing us a favor.

Great news indeed, congrats are in order! It's especially reassuring you also have some marketing stuff in mind to keep the community going. Ideas for the demo: 1. Do not make it MP only. I have the game and I'm still playing SP just to figure out the basics of each demigod (partly thanks to no manual/game wiki - yes, I know there's one that's getting pretty good, but on official one, where you can update stuff as it gets modified/rebalanced in future patches is

I believe Demigod was doing fine during the beta. Only most beta testes were located in North America an upon release, Stardock found out people from far away were suffering from all the problems you can expect (and Stardock didn't) when you're far away. With multiplayer being of paramout importance to Demigod, instead of carefully analyzing the situation and fixing it, they just rushed some stuff that fixed many problems for 90% of the players, but broke stuff for everybody. Now they're pret

I hate to break it to you, but SP is really boring (the AI is basically brain-dead and only knows how to thoroughly ignore scenario objectives and go straight for the enemy citadel). I can hardly play more than 2 games in a row. It's not a problem for me, cause I only do that to learn the demigods in preparation for some online fun. But you, you're going to want your money back.

While your point about having a campaign is debatable, there's no denying almost any player has been let down by Demigod, one way or another. For you it's the campaign, for me it's the controls/UI, for others it's multiplayer or whatever. And while we all know, love and support Stardock, this still results in losts sales for them, because I don't imagine we could recommend the game to our friends. Not in its actual state anyway.
I think a first blood achievement wouldnt be healthy for Demigod. Instead of finding your place in your team people would start to hunt down 'weaker demigods', kill stealing and it might open a can of worms... We need more achievements to encourage teamplay. They should be printed right on the box; or all over the site should you purchase the game online. There's a reason they say "better safe than sorry".
