It won't let you play? I was too lazy to enter mine when I first got the game and it let me play. I entered it a week later.
Doomfest23
I don't know for sure. The Stardock people will have to answer that. Rumor has it that yes, it might come out. But I haven't seen confirmation.
I'm going on vacation to celebrate graduation and won't be back until Friday. I won't be starting a new game so when i get back I promise i'll post a screen shot.(if i find out how)
Not yet. No multiplayer. Even if there was, I couldn't. I have dial up. I'm on this forum at my local library since i can't access it at home.
How do you take a screen shot on a dell? or in game? don't laugh, I just have never done it before.
Have you tried returning it? They may or not trade it in for another copy.
I have 2 700% Research enhancments on my home planet and 3 throughout my other 13 planets Also, there is a 700% industrial enhancement on another planet. Then there are dozens of other lesser enhancements. I have everything set to occasional too. The strange thing is, I have had similar cercumstances on each of the 7 times I have played the game. Is this a glitch? If it is, I like it.
American editions have it on the cd case when purchased from Walmart
I'm not sure, but I think that they have to be "friendly" or possible "warm" to you in order to make an alliance. Try giving them really good deals in trade to where it is better for them than it is you. After a while, the alliance option will open. (This is from personal experience. Nothing said here is "official" so please don't get mad if it doesn't work.)
Stars go super nova destroying all planets within X number of parsects. Then a new star and planets form. This way you would not be able to just sit around and do nothing. You would constantly have to monitor your star to see what it was doing. Don't have a set number of years for the Nova. It would have to be unpredictable. Be able to coexist on planets with the other races. You get this half, we get this half. Then for planetary battles instead of Me vs You it becomes, 100 of my tro
I agree. More complex battle options would be an excellent addition. And defenses play a great deal in my defense of planets. I only have 2 or 3 battle ships that are heavily defended at each planet and no one can take them out.
The AI needs improved slightly for when they are at war. They leave their constructors and freighters unguarded as they travel. That makes way too easy of a target. Also, they don't attack my freighters. Instead, they go after my most powerful fleet. Also, being able to name your ships and planets is great, but why not be able to name weapons/shields/improvements/everything else?
I don't know how intelligent the AI is so don't make fun of me if this is a stupid idea. Try building influence starbases all around their planets so that their influence isn't as effective. Then maybe they would be more interested in buying...
Defense is best only for people who are scared that their ships aren't powerful enough. No offense. I put all the weapons I can on my ships and fly them straight into the enemy. I get only minor casualties and have lost only a handful of battles. As soon as I get myself another computer, I'm going to try this strategy at painful difficulty.
I don't think my mod will work. No, it won't for sure. I'm good at First Person Shooter game mods like Unreal Tournament. Gal. Civ. is too hard to change. Unreal Ed 3.0 for UT makes top quality stuff easy with lots of practice. GC II makes you more frustrated with more practice. Oh well...
I'm sorry about the mod thing. I wan't paying attention and I'm not good enough at mods to know anyway.
Well, this one time I found 21! artifacts on one planet. No, just kidding. That is pretty amazing. Just one of those anomolies of games.
I just installed 1.11 and haven't had a chance to see if mine are still there. I sure hope they are...
I don't turn it off, but I don't make treaties either. I remain neutral. Then the other races join together and attack me. It makes it much more challenging and fun. However, I suggest that you do whatever you concider to be the best route. Make the game fun however you want.
More original names for weapons and shields would be an excellent idea in my opinion. Laser could be called Deathray and Laser 2 could be Doomstream. Or any name other than what the weapon actually is.
I'm going to try and make it to where you can make a star go super nova and destroy all orbiting planets. Then again, I am not that good at modding... But I can try!
If there is a problem with the AI being too easy, and you are not "exploiting," then I suggest you make a mod or have someone else make one to make there be more enemies or a higher difficulty. I personally can't even come close to lasting more than 2 hours on suicide. I get killed quick. But if you really are better than the game, then just make the game better. PS: I'm not good at modding AI things, so ask someone with more abilities in that area.
I like tech trading so I can get a very powerful army of ships and go to war with someone. Then when they they ask for a treaty, I accept and then demand that they give me all of their techs. If they refuse, I start the attacks back up. Then I don't have to research nonmilitary related techs. They do it for me.
I do everything i can to get 3 planets that are some-what close together. Then I make one of them my economic location, one of them my influence/happiness location, and finally one is my military location. (If possible this one is towards the middle of the map.) Then I create factories on it and start making cheap and fast fighters. I update them as often as possible. Then once I have about 200 or so, I go on a rampage killing anything and everything until I have space superiority. <br
My computer isn't so good anymore. My little sister knocked it off of the desk and, well, you can imagine.
