I saw everyone posting how much they played Sins and got to thinking "Hey, I have played alot of Sins, I wonder how much"... 2410 hours.... I am definitely ready for Sins 2
I feel your pain :)
trackpads
I currently have 1,499 hours just in Rebellion. I have owned every CD copy they ever made including the collectors edition. I have owned it from the beginning. They need a sequel because large games suck regardless of the hardware. Love this game, -J
Wierd. Pirates will show up and then a few will convert to my side but I cant control them. I am playing Tec and I have no ships capable of capturing them. they will then move to an asteroid and sit there. They show up in my fleet cap but weirdly don't count against it. I cant sleect or control them. Anyone else seen this?
After all of these years playing I have never once had an AI build a starbase in a solar gravity well. Why such an obvious omission in the AI?
I will say regardless of the difficulty the AI still does things that are incomprehensible to me. For one, they don't build star-bases in the Solar gravity well, regardless of settings. I just finished a game against 3 vicious and nothing. They also will not attack a pirate base if you double it up in galaxy forge. Cannot understand that all. They will set on the closest planet with 1500 in fleet cap and do nothing. Now if I build anything they will att
The latest patch to Requiem (4.7.1) imposes the limit of 1 super weapon per 20 gravity wells (the default is 1 per 4 wells) Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
When are AI players going to start building starbases in the solar gravity wells? Its kind of easy to beat when you can throw 4-5 of them into an enemy sun and bottle them up. It would make Vicious or Cruel more challenging at the least. Thanks, -Jason
I always build a great system and then want to scale up but have to manually recreate each star and planets. Any hope in the future of a copy & paste function? The iphone has had it for years lol
Aside from almost giving me seizures the brightness of this type needs toned down if possible. Its cool to look at but after trying to fight a battle with a strobe in the background it is almost vomit inducing. Can we turn that off when in the planet screen or if possible tone the brightness down.. alot? If not the next collectors edition better have SOSE inspired advil. BTW, love everything else, -Jason

"I dont like this thread but I am going to post anyway". Fine, I'll play your game... The problem is that with say, 200 illuminators or any other small vessel is that the starbase or anything else can only attack a certain number of targets, no where near c
just occurred to me today, yes I am sloow. But why do ships just run up and stop in combat? Aside from the game standpoint I dont there has been a naval engagement in the past century where ships just wheeled up to one another, dropped anchor, and then pounded each other to oblivion. With spaced based mechanics you wouldnt stop, nor could you even if you wanted to. It would be alot more interesting if they kept moving, turning, and wailing on each other (advent liter
I posted this in a new thread but why hasn't the CE been announced on the Steam news for the game?
You are probably right but it really never fails, ie haven't seen them split yet. In my custom map I just went back to ice/volcanic random.
I mean the last news item before the update was about that moronic company suing stardock for using the word 'rebellion' so I am sure it can be posted. Just want them to do well, if not and I have order another then oh well, I like the model :)
the latest map visible to other users is the solar empire by wallab dated 9-5-2012. it is due to stardock having to approve each item in the wincustomise downloads area, all we can do is to wait till stardock approves the map. I also hit this exact issue back when I was initially releasing my map updater and other utilities, which is why I stopped using the winustomise and use other filehosting and eventually dropbox simply
WC rocks. Just not the movie. My true first action game aside from Silent Service 2. Rocked my old 386sx-16 back in the day with that massive 1mb of ram. I think I still dream about the pilots running to their ships cut scene before every launch :)
After reading the thread on the CE I realized that I never got an email even announcing it, I just happened to see the thread and then I ordered. Why not post an announcement on Steam? That is where I get most of the news anyway about the game. -Jason
That is the map, does it show something different for you? You click the big download button and it opens, there are no extra pages.
All, My apologies, I uploaded the wrong map. It was vanilla. I just re uploaded the new one to the mods site. Again, apologies, -Jason
Hi, Thanks for the guide, I have been using it for a few months now and I really appreciate it. I just uploaded my first map but couldn't get the triggers to work. Is there a tutorial for those? I want to create even more advanced maps with late game surprises ala MOO and Simcity. My Map: https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/sins_maps/372/ -Jason
(if I posted this in the wrong forum I apologize) Bellatrix Cluster Map: https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/sins_maps/372/ Overview: This cluster was once a TEC system but was abandoned many many years ago when the Vasari invasion cut off all supplies. The remaining humans turned feral and most became members of warring pirate clans battling
It looks incredible. My wife would kill me if I bought it though. Sigh.
you 'won' it in an online contest ;)
As far as I know the others still work, those two the Pirate Exterminator and Outstanding Resume are the ones that will not trigger. I already have all the other achievements. Thanks, -Jason
in gf when creating planets if RandomTrue...Fair is selected then the planets for a player will all be the same type of planet. For example if the first discovered planet is a Ice planet then the others will be as well.
There should be a option to pin Titans like the Capital Ship during a capital ship victory game on the right side of the screen.
