People will mod the game to make it fit their favourite fantasy world (be it LotR or whatever), change anything that they don't agree with (spells, maybe economy,...),...
What a way to hype the game, damnit.[e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] You are such a tease!![e digicons]X([/e] I was close to try to learn Python for Civ IV but I suppose that this time I better really try. Nothing worse than to depend on code mercy for your own mod and I have an idea that I really need to flesh out in this game. Out of curiosity, could Elemental (potentially) be modded to be some kind of Society? Something like creating the new Colonization out of Civ IV (
Stop making games for good*. Maybe then some "people" will learn of their "mistakes". Some people only value things once they have lost them. But that means that as always the innocent have to suffer because of the guilty... so don't stop making games for good UNTIL AFTER Elemental is done and patched, ok? [e digicons]:([/e] Also, no matter how many sales lost in the future, ban Gamestop from receiving any other SD game ever. If someone shows them that they have the "balls"
They have about 5 weeks to get beta-0, started (their front page says BY June, which to me means June 1).
Stardock would be a bad publisher if they didn't pay the proper attention to the recently released Demigod. So if they need to delay the Elemental beta, they'll delay it with no doubt. Also, the same as the release date of Elemental (Feb 2010) is just an intention, the June mark is just a good intention hoping to become reality
What a waste of database space.

I think that lwarmonger made his point clear enough. [e digicons][/e]
I'm not scaring anyone, just pointing out details that some people prefer not to mention (not saying that it's with malicious intention tough). Considering how absolutely random the game is and how unbalanced it becomes just from moment one... well, not a good game but surely good some laughs (which is the intention I suppose). For the record, I play in the spanish version so it's not like I'm against the game.[e digicons]:P[/e]

Ok, seriously, someone explain this to me. Except for Elemental that will be used as a "show" for the other companies (and it won't use the "DRM" part but the one that allows you to sell your license if my memory doesn't betray me), Stardock isn't going to use GOO (except, maybe, again for that part of reselling the game's license). Or maybe my memory is wrong or I don't correctly remember what has been said in these forums not so long ago. Maybe Stardock should annoy people using the DRM tha
I hate those stupid fucking "pirates". They should be arrested. They claim they are all about freedom of information and such, yet they are stealing from someone who puts thier soul into something, trying to make a living. It goes against freedom and capititalism... piraters, are lazy, selfish, dumb, and absolutely immoral idiots, who deserve to be shot.
the fact that StarDock turned towards DRM, ok , less invaisive DRM , much more convinient DRM but still DRM. Campaigns only work for some type of games. I don't see Demigod being of that type... I mean, the Demigods just play a tournament to decide who will become a God, right? Sins of a Solar Empire could use a campaign (more or less) but Demigod...[e digicons]o_O[/e]
Elemental: War of Magic at $5... [e digicons]:omg:[/e] [e digicons][/e] Give me 10!!! *cough**cough* Sorry. I consider interesting prices those who are at 20€ or less. Those under 30€ can be considered and those above 30E only if they are truly special (at least aparently) or I have personal motives. We have here in Spain distributors like FX Interactive or Codegame who sell games quite cheap, no one over the 20€ mark. Which is great. And yet, p
Why should anyone care if God (why should we believe "God" is the true one? Why not the kami? Or Titania? Or Chtulhu? Or...?) exists or no? More precisely, why should anyone try to stomp their ideas into the rest of the population like if they were pure truth in a can? People should be more worried about being able to get along with other people, specially with people that thinks different (as long as that "different" isn't a "let's kill/destroy/dominate anyone who doesn't agree with us"... O
If the game was playable in a window (or alt-tab friendly), I could use any text editor. If it was or even if it wasn't, I would be able to use pen and paper too. Or just my memory (altough in my case it's of selective nature which isn't very good). But if it's not a lot of trouble, I would prefer an in-game tool that allows me to record details in a text form: be it events or just some kind of diary (or just to write a note to myself for the next time I continue that game). Not that I w

BoogieBac, could you consider to add a "notepad" to the game? So I can open it and add whatever information I need to record. And that whenever an event (popup/window/message/globe) appears, it has a button that adds the relevant text of that event to the "notepad". The text file for that game's "notepad" could be edited in and out of the game so the player can add and/or delete as needed. Also, make sure that Elemental comes by default with a clock so we can know when is too late to
Flashbacks a la Gal Civ II in 3, 2, 1... Winty: "So I need to send my troops to protect City03. Good luck, Stardock/GPG!!! I really need some spare time these next weeks or I'm going to begin to choke with so many games in my computer to play with. [e digicons]XD[/e] Seems a very nice package for a collector's edition. At least quite better that some collector's editions that I won't mention. Are we still on time to suggest the content for Elemental's collector's edition?
Me wants Beta 0. Now. So many free hours during july and august's afternoons/evenings... And still 22 vacation days to use for this year... Damn Stardock, forcing me to choose my vacations according to a Beta. [e digicons]XD[/e]
