New Forum catagory in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I think there should be a fanfiction forum. I bet most of us can come up with brilliant (or hillaious) stories in the GC2 (or 1, for that matter). universe. For those of you who think this is a stupid idea, (I just know the smart-mouths from my GalCiv movie post will come here just to flame me). Here's an idea for a Fanfiction: The diary entries of a human soldier during the Drengin-Human Wars. Alright, there's my idea, now tel me what you think.

Actually, I find them very useful, be cause when i was at war with the Korx in one of my games, their ships had lots of beam and missile defence, but alost no MD ( mass driver, for any newbies who might jump in) defence. I sent it after korx fleets, and it lasted 12 turns BY ITSELF! It was only destroyed when I attacked their last planet. Just before i invaded, a squad of 15 defenders attacked it, I still got th planet and won the war though. I'ts also good for sending it into enemy territtory,

Response to Darth Kryo: Yes, but the sheer variety of different things you can design IS impressive. Response to Ultimit and TheProgram: It's not called PR, it's called advertising. PR is making sure people like your company, not telling them hw great your product is in commercials.

I was at gamestop the other day, when I noticed a box for a PC game called "UFO Extraterestrals" I picked it up and looked at the box, and on the back-of-the-box advertisement, I saw the following: "Don't like the ships in the game? Make your own! design everything, including mines, satilites, and star-bases." I couldn't belive it! even mines and starbases?! OK, I'm done with being over-dramatic, now you tell me: does this totally blow Galciv2's designer out of the water or not?

The title is Aces of Suburbia. It's a vehicular combat game using RC planes. ( this one is meant for the consoles, but Twisted Metal 2 was ported over to the PC in' 95). Thanks, Shadow. I was really confused. But 1 more question: IMy last 3 games were all diplmatic victories, yet i didn;t get any meadal, and I palyed them a coupple of days ago. So how many victories of a certain type do I need? 5, maybe?

{feeling like a complete idiot right now} i just had to hit default charactar on my metaverse chatactars menu. However... I just got a culture victory (Or is it Racial victorey)? playing as the Drengins, and neither medal showed up. Y? EDIT- Is it just me or are we the only forum on the with grammer that isn't a crime against humanity? (i know some will consider that joke lame.)

I'ts called Panzerfaust (pronounced PAN-zer-FOWST) It's a World War 2 RTS, and it has some cool gimmicks: 1: You can take control of ANY uniton your side and play as it, action game-style. 2. You have almost every one of thse crazy "Black Book" secret weapons projects as units. 3. As you progress through the campagin, you see REAL WW2-era news-reels Tell me what you think! (and be honest).

GalCiv movie in Off-Topic GalCiv2 Forums

This just came to me: A Galactic Civilazations movie. Although game-based movies don't have a clean track record, (Mortal Kombat was good though) If it got a decent director and cast, we could have a summer blockbuster! Although if I directed, i'd make the plot Stargte-y. A Star Wars Wars -style GalCiv movie would be generic. What do you think? Should it be made into a movie, or left in our computers? Of corse, it wouldn't have to be live0action it could be computer-generated.
