He was bleeding all over screaming "Shot in the head!" and was told to fill out paperwork. He replied something like "Gee, I seem to have trouble remembering my name. It is unlikely the calf would have survived its injuries for long despite the best efforts of the herd in saving it. I like to think though it did survive its wounds to go on living a good life, but then I am just a softie!

The video was filmed at Kruger National Park. Three buffalo approach a water hole, the calf is taken by the lions, the lions have a tug of war with the crocodiles for the calf. In the mean time the two adult buffalo have gone off to get the herd. The entire herd approach and surround the lions then attack them to retrieve the calf. Amazing footage, rivet
