Murex, Microsoft will continue to offer mainstream support for Windows XP well into 2009 (and extended support will continue into 2014), XP SP3 is slated to be released early 2008 - it's release was delay so that it didn't take attention away from Vista's release. I don't see a service pack 4 for XP happening after that although you will probably see a Rollup Update after XP SP3 similar to what we saw after Windows 2000 SP4 was released. I'm sure it looks awesome in Windows Vista, I've recently been downloading & trying out alot of wb5 themes on a vista ultimate machine and they all seem to translate nicely in Vista. Some skins that make use of "magic pink" for transparent sections in their skin elements will show pink in Vista but for the most part they look really good. From the screenshot, this Red Corvette theme is super hot - very professional workmanship is evident.

that was hilarious - but they should have had the Norton av icon killing off all the other items, in reality Norton AV real-time antivirus protection kills system performance like nothing else. It was a funny animated feature, it's impressive what people can do with flash. I'd like to learn it someday.

I change my skins once a week - just like my underwear or taking a shower: whether I need to or not! - just kidding.... - didn't want to start a new thread so I think I will just borrow Quentin's on this one (quentin, I hope you don't mind), I have a wb that I uploaded to the site on March 15 and it's still awaiting moderation, can someone take a look at it and let me know if there is a problem with it: https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=6086&libid=1 I've noticed that it was downloaded once while it's been in moderation by user "snowman" (I'm assuming he is a moderator).

Nimbin, your method requires actual work.... You hit the nail on the head, good skins are usually rec'd well (unless they get buried in a torrent of other skins in the same section if alot of other work gets uploaded during the same time and then it's just lost in space)

just wondering maybe you've turned off all of the eye candy in windows xp and are just running in windows classic mode (simple windows gui, max performance, etc.) - that would probably stop your wb's from being applied properly. It's worth checking.
