I can't help but seeing the funny side of some things, even when they were meant to be sad.

As I've stated before, this is a pointless argument. Al-qaeda will not stop coming after us no matter what we do so long as we keep sending soldiers to fight with 1 hand tied behind their backs and blanks in their guns. There was a time when battles were fought honorably, where the enemies fought by the rules (somewhat anyways) and face to face. In these days battles are not fought by the strength of the army but by the intelligence and willingness to do what it takes. We may have intelligence,
possibly come off as condenscending and chauvinistic? Really? That's funny, I always thought I came off as annoying and somewhat stating the obvious. I don't know what cave you've been living in but many times I have pointed out that I am not always very knowledgeable about certain topics but I give my opinion based on what I know. I don't consider myself a genius at all, I post what I believe and if I am proven wrong I admit it. Arrogant? You must be c
Wow, featured again? Kool.
I’m sorry this article makes no sense. Do you not understand the concept of less and more? If it’s not possible to make us less safe then it’s not possible to make us safer. But we know that’s not true. If we leave Iraq that’s going to make us less safe, right? I personally, even though I have never supported the war, believe it
weird I thought this was very very sad. I have to agree, with both. It was funny, but also sad.
No it's not. You see, I'm still posting.
Sorry, reading comprehension problem that so often rears it's ugly head. Charles had the right idea of the rall Maybe you can explain to me why I deserved this: Charles, as I have said MAAAAANY times before: STFU. Because it seems to be that both TW and Shades somehow felt I did.
Exactly. The whole point of this was to show the excuses and propaganda these people put out, and the leftists just seem to actually fall for it. Like Sean?
like i said in other posts, if we turned this thing up, 160,000 of our guys would be overkill. you crybabies would pee your pants. sorry sean, its brutal to say, but everything has a military answer, we are fighting people who will never feel the way we do about life. in the end, it really is all we can do. if we don't fight, you can try to explain to them that you were on their side. "i was rooting for you the whole time, i tried to tell these idiots
no charles, you are the joke here. democrats? 6 republicans voted against the iraq war. i'm not a democrat. colin powell wasn't a democrat when he reported that iraq was effectively boxed in and no threat to anyone before 9/11. non interventionists like me were warning what would happen and non intervention happens to be a conservative philosophy. my reasonings and theirs have nothing to do with what the democrats wanted and their reasoning. but you don't
You know, it's funny. I don't understand this problem you have with me. Because it's obvious you got something against me since you claim I do this to you all the time which I'm still not sure what is it that I do to you. I have a great appreciation and respect for all the members of the US Armed Forces, those who have served, those who are still serving and those who have lost their lives. Because of them I get to enjoy the greatness of this country, because of them I am proud of being
yeah, the truth hurts, i'm sure charles. people that you can't stand, like me, were pointing out that this was a bad idea BEFORE we invaded. and what was foreseen was exactly what has happened. LOL, you really are funny at times Sean. You thought it was a bad idea because people like you don't want Republicans to be right. You guys never gave Iraq and the Iraqi people a chance, probably the reason they don't care. You condemned them to stupidity fro
... no, he didn't lecture anybody... he was just explaining what he thought the rally was about, which was supporting America and the troops, regardless of one's stance on Iraq. That's how I read it anyway. Thank you, my point exactly. Gosh, nice to see someone who gets it. Of course, that doesn't seem to be what the rally is about... it feels more like a patriotic, I support America rally, not an I support the troops
We could leave Iraq right now, we could leave the Middle East right now, and it will not change their desire to kill. Even worse, if they manage to get a bill passed demanding our troops to withdraw by, say, the end of August and they do, once all hell breaks loose over there they will blame Bush for leaving the country in chaos when they left.
Did you really just lecture TW on how to support the troops? Wow -- I mean, I knew you weren't too bright, but I never expected you were THAT dumb! WTF are you talking about? I have not lectured anyone. She asked a question, I answer (in a nice way I might add) what I thought the article was about. She told me to STFU for no reason. I did not deserve that. If she is a military wife and does not like talking about military stuff than she should
I notice that the phrase “less safe” is often, either used or implied, on this site, mostly by people pointing towards how the US is less safe than before we went to war. And this is not necessarily from one person on this site (resident troll as he has been called). The thing is every time I see it written or implied I often ask myself what exactly do they m
Charles, as I have said MAAAAANY times before: STFU. And as you may have noticed I need not to do as you say cause you ain't my mamma (thank God), my boss (thank God) or anyone on this site with the power to shut me up (thank God). But here's a thought you do have the power to take your own advice so I say please do so yourself. This is what I get for being nice when replying to someone as childish as you. You should change to your name to Texas Whiner c
They way things work in this country you are better off being a criminal. If you commit a crime the law sees you as innocent till proven guilty and if there is no evidence against you or evidence is mishandled or you have enough money, you are free to go. If you are innocent, no one ever believes you. If you are an illegal immigrant, you have rights. If you are a multiple offending drunk driver, you will get you license back over and over. But if you get pulled over for no reason, chances are y
I wish I knew why is it that people keep saying it's all our fault when this group of people kill simply because of a book, a cartoon, a quote or simply for being American. This is like blaming parents because their kid got hit by a drunk driver. I tire of this, I tire of trying to be the good guy and always getting blamed for the woe's of the rest of the world. I say if we gonna be the bad guys even when we are the good guys then we may as well end our problems swiftly by being a bit less good.
it's real telling to see the apologists come out with the usual bs...the insistance that they and the horses they backed were wrong and continue to be wrong, but anyone who questions that is out of line. keep givin em hell col! You see, this is the kind of bull I can't stand from people like you Sean. Did you notice that the story is about how Iraq is not doing it's part to make things better? How come is it that no one is screaming at the Iraqi Gov't? H
I think if there is a law and a punishment to go with it for breaking it, we should not be using any kind of powers given to us by the Constitution or any other kind of historic document. Not unless the punishment seemed way too harsh for the crime and if the person was believed to be someone what innocent but still found guilty (hey, it can happen, it is said that there are many innocent people convicted all the time). In this case I think jail time may be much for the crime. I think t
