I can't say I really do trade due to my war like nature. However, I've found that if you put atleast 1 farm with the needed morale support on every planet you should keep in the red. Now you may not be making 100,000 and change every week, but it's enough to build a war machine and keep it going. I"m going to have to try overloading planets with farms now. Heck I have to try to get over 100k a week. That would be absurd.

I've seen it destroy class 2 planets before, but they were uninhabited. I've seen this event ALOT. But I have yet to have it destroy one on my planets, or I also haven't noticed that it has destroyed another empires planet.

I couldn't keep up the rate of colonization if I tried to put 1 bil in every colony ship. The taxes produced from my main world keep me from totaly going under at the start of the game. In my games the computer colonizes maybe not overly quickly, be certainly not slowly. I could see how that would work for smaller games. Get those other worlds up and producing quickly. I will have to try it on my next game.

Well it's a good thing he's not saying that's how the world works then. He has a valid point. From his point of view, that "good" looks out for the good of things, they should live, be left alone, your people shouldn't die "needlessly". Needlessly would apply to thing like precursor artefacts that require life force to work. Neutral is just that. They find a balance between loss and gain. Evil is technically evil from this POV. To commit genocide against a group of se

This is the great thing about PC games vs console. You can change things. Another reason that consoles will never kill the pc strategy game. Well that and the fact that in my opinion anyway, that many gamers that jsut play consoles probably would be so bored by a game like this. Without constant action and whatnot. Long Live PC Strategy games!

I use the names of Gods from various mythologies. I"m using alot of Welsh god names at the moment. Of course I try to match them up. Gods of war/hunt/underworld are my fleet ships and fighters. Then other things dealing with more worldly items are colony ships. My scout ship is named Syn after the Norse god of watchfulness and truth. they all match up as best I can get them. I pulled names from Norse, Irish Celtic, Welsh, Celtic, and some greek and roman gods. Also a few names from Japanese Myth

The recession event that hit me did nothing. I noticed no change in the amounts of cash I was bringing in a week. I like the mega events in general. However the only thing I really dislike is when you get events such as the Jagged Edge occur within the first year- year and a half. When your tech isn't high, and there is a decent chance (depending on play style) that you have no military, or have no planetary assualt ships. You hardly get a chance to start and BAM. But this has also
