Heaven- Yes its worrying but they already are throwing their artists into the creation pits for the next expansion so we are good. Also the next expansion they will make money on it ie its not gonna be free again. Also don't forget the pit will be launching soon. It's all good. They sold lots of Sots 2 merchandise too in their Pit campaign. Hopefully they can hire another programmer soon so they can get through that tall list of wants quicker. Oh

Supported! Well the only other game that's around this period was an expansion to Rome Total War, there should be more games out there that dive into this period. The Good: Best combat system in any 4x game. Armor on 4 sides for each section, blue indestructible bar, armor, structure (structure takes crits ie dead crew, engine overload, weapons blowing off, etc...) rotating ships, barrel rolls, 3 planes to fight on, engine speeds, do shots reflect off the armor?, turrets and modules have hit points, etc... Just a clarification, steam is required for updates but when your playing you don't need steam on. I have absolutely no problem with steam just others will hate on steam (hopefully the case is steam is only required for latest versions and then you can just shut it off).

For the current AI, it doesn't go into debt and it does a good job of teching. Its slowly getting its teeth put in on the tactical side. For multiplayer you just port forward like it tells you on the launcher and then your good. Sots 2 really shines in multiplayer. Sots 2 has the deepest 4x combat system.
