~DrM~ I think what shades is trying to say, is that currently the congress is in GOP hands, and obviously, if they wanted to have him, cause they are in the majority...they'd have passed him. However, since Bush cannot even get Bolton approved in a congress controlle by his OWN party...there is about a chance in hell that he would get him approved by a democrat controlled congress. You understand? (btw, this was said neutrally)

Dude........ b'ah... Franklin 'was' a liberal. Jefferson, look at how he adopt the ideas of John Locke, which are the basis for liberalism. A majority of liberals, helped form the US. You know why? At that time, the conservative factions were the ones loyal to britain. The liberals, were intent on forming a new nation. As for slavery...let me go find that refute i wrote for Brad on another thread. Perhaps they would, but...as modman said....
I quoted what Gwyneth said. I didn't say it. Granted, I was pointing out what was what...in terms of that was your side of the exchange. No need for that Lucas. Each of us is entitled to our opinion, calling it lik
There you are, talking to your ex. Just talking. You're keeping a comfortable physical distance and mentioning your girlfriend's name every few minutes. Heh, I haven't talked to my ex in....oh...four months on the 8th. Heh, it's sort of one of those things where they she said i was "insane, a loon...."
It is ALL POLITICAL and has NOTHING to do with what is best to protect this country Tell me, how'd you know this? What/who are your sources claiming such? Otherwise this is just your opinion, nothing more. *** Okay, so this is what i've found on declassification. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center
Then just maybe you should go back and read dharma and LW older threads! Okay, I will...
So which is closer to what we have today? I'd say the latter. Maybe not extremely, or readily identifiable, but by your quote...yep, the latter.
There, that's better. Nothing like a little gratuitous nudity to set the tone and titillate the senses. Hmmm, me thinks this is 'might' be a jab at them, and their ideals regarding nudity.
ME Too aND i KNOW MORE than a couple, Hey mod man, try keeping your replies (if they turn out to be long), to a short length. I tried that, and it worked. Wrong answer shades! For the record it was the "democrats"
Dont lie when you post your whine in the same thread. Either you are whining, or you did not read the article or link. Ignorant or whiner? Your choice. First off, you assume it was a whine. Secondly, I must not have seen that part. I admit, i skimmed the article. My apologies for the mistake, skimming the article. <TAB
(cont...) I said she had a point with the civilize part, because the british established themselves as the cultural, and civilized empire. They held honor, and civilized behavior to the extreme. They were, at one time, 'the' kings of civilization, so to speak. Think about this, "A civilization can refer to a city-dwelling human society, human culture in general, etiquette and sophistication, or the imperialistic act of 'civilizing lesser peoples'." Culture wi
Remember, Lucas, only SOME Brits are more intelligent than SOME Americans. How come whenever one of us on JU speaks in generalities you're the first one on the scene, wagging your finger and informing us that we are wrong to generalize, yet when some spoiled, bulimic, hollywood airhead asserts than an entire nation of people are 'more intelligent and civilized' than anothe

Hey mod, sorry for the late reply. I've tried to post this, but wouldn't work until now. I found the trick, post any long replies in pieces/chunks. So, without further adieu...a list, by a "loony leftie." Here we go for a nice challenge, name some great world
(cont...) *** Now, myself...I am more of a moderate BHL. (I know, doesn't make sense) I am staunchly for: "the benifit of individuals rather than society as a whole. In other words the kind of person who believes that we must not leave anyone behind, even if helping them would be a drag one the whole group." ...however, I am willing to seek alternate solutions. I guess you could say that I am a moderate bleeding heart liberal/reasonable bleeding heart lib
You need to expand your thinking if you really believe that empathy is somehow tied in with bias. Ehhh, an example...my gf. She defines herself as a "bleeding heart liberal." And well, I back that up 100%, cause she definantly is. She would give the shirt off her back, to any needy child, anywhere. She fits the defin
Being biased doesn't mean one doesn't see things from other points of view. The word you are looking for is called empathy. My job requires me to have a high degree of empathy. I understand other points of view. Empathy is unrelated to bias. Let me step back, and re-establish my point, because i think i've strayed. Willfull bias,wi
Bias is the indication of someone who is educated and experienced. You can also be biased based on your raising, and be as dumb as a door knob. It doesn't bode well, but it is very possible.
As for "rights", I'm not sure what you mean. It was the American right that freed the slaves, fought for women's suffrage, and killed segregation. Look at the opponents of rights historically and there's a (D) by their name. Brad, just because there was an R beside their name, doesn't mean that they are conservatives. If you look at hist
The leftwings speciality is whining, they even whine when they win if the margin was to close. Hey now. Not all of us whine.
ME Too aND i KNOW MORE than a couple, Yeah...I don't know why. I mean, I even had it happen with my school's wirelss net. Me thinks it is something to do with my laptop itself. *sighs* If it isn't one thing, it's another with that thing.
In every case that I've seen over the last 6 years, the ones doing the complaining about rigged elections or voting irregularities when they lost, were Democrats. Links? Proof? Even when Republicans lost, they had
Hey mod, dontcha know? He's being a compassionate conservative...and getting into the christmas spirit. @ the exchange between DrM,Mod, and SC. stupid joeuser acting the fool again anyone else having problems.. again... and again/... and
Well, I really don't see what is wrong with making sure the election was fair. Yes, I don't advocate whining, but...fair is fair, if it wasn't fair then it was not fair. I mean, jeez, there've been tons of reasons, and times where elections have been questioned, think about it: voting machine malfunction, Human error, dead voters, etc... I'd say, let there be double checking of the election votes, not for just for those reasons, but for the reasons/times we don't know about.<b
Aha, face to the name and the 'voice'! Thx for sharing! You're welcome.
