Schod
what can I say, I have a following*... *of people who want to see me fail. of course, none of them are posting. and with good reason :P
If it's very heavy/fragile, shipping costs a lot
my computer case cost like 3$ to ship from somewhere in north Oregon.
Gauss cannons are fairly cheap in tactical point cost and you can place loads of them around a planet if you so choose (though such a tactic can be overcome if you put all your points into only one type of defense structure). Their range is such that you cannot fly above or below them and be out of their range to cheese things. The best way to deal with turrets is to use bombers or long-range assault frigates.
... can there really be more said? I mean its n
if we do another 7 person match like that with uneven teams, I'm going to adjust the random generator so that people arent all pressed up against one another. it gives the bigger side an even larger advantage in that they can rush damn well near immediately.
it was fun, I admit. although I really wish avatar had split his fleet better, instead of ping ponging across 4 planets to try and protect each of us in turn. I want to try more outnumbered matches on larger maps, if we werent dealing with the threat of offensives within the first 10 minutes I think the battle would have at least been a real fight, instead of just being outnumbered bashathons. that being said, anyone up for a game today?
I love living in the US. shipping for even the bulkiest, delicate things is 5$
yeah, it was rather obvious this was going to flop... well I'll try, maybe... when does it start? (I'm not hopping on your website, not dealing with the hassle)
*siege raids avatar*. a grave mistake uber FoD is, learn to deploy your forces, you must.
*splits, baits and ambushes Avatar's fleet, crushing him solidly* yup... not only that :P
whining is an issue, but its not as much as an issue as is ruining the environment of the game this game is not nearly as competative as TA. even as one of the most envied and despised persons on the forums, games are 19/20 whine free.
oh dont get upity Conan. :d
I think he mumbled, meant to say "like games where you pay 15 dollar a month fees"
this thread brings up bad memories for just about everyone :P blair and myself especially. I remember fighting off hoards of 15+ people, none of who had much experience with the vasari at the time, claiming the Vasari were TEC clones. then... piece by piece... the argument turned towards "they arent the same, but they arent what I expected, so change them" and then after that one by one people began to see the light. ah, the dark ages of just-post release beta 4 :p set us all
it was a 3v4, yeah. was fun though ^ ^ was double teamed for most of the game and even then I had them running circles for an hour.
its since been almost completely agreed upon that the vasari are not like the TEC, this thread is dead as dead gets.
hrm... dont trust what I dont have experience with...
hell, last I remembered I wasnt sparking any fights, I was telling everyone how smart they were.
I fired you out the forward railgun, theres a small difference there.
how can you possibly not see that I was telling you that you were right! you guys have got to be kidding me. here I was thinking your IQs were only about the level of an intelligent ass, apparently not.
oh come on, I certainly wasnt complaining about last game. you on the other hand... whats got you PMSing today anyway?
The 'Emergency facilities' planetary upgrade increases a planets defense against orbital bombardment.
well yeah, but you answered yes to a question he wasnt asking. so to clarify: yes there are planetary defenses, but they are purely defense. no weaponry.
yes they are Ron, you just cant win this! give up, I swear I've never seen you so stubborn on something you're obviously wrong about.
Yea, I tell ya, when you're doing a live demo the key part is not to stop talking and lose ones chain of thought and even as I said Vasari, I knew I had meant the Advent and then said that the Vasari came from another galaxy which isn't necessarily true.
trust me, I have no idea what its like to be on TV. I'm absolutely sure you were nervous out of your mind, nobody (besides us) will notice anyway so good job! :CONGRAT:
so much old fo
yes pretty much. although I have the current proud distinction of the only person with a full brain with which to call "crazy".
