I dont mind KS against enemy demigods. A sure kill is always best. Too often ive had to run away from an enemy demigod (or even died) when a teammate is right next to me farming creep and could have turned the tables.

Cant get a game going at all now. If I try pantheon, i will start connecting with some other people, we will get connected then someone will drop and it will sit there doing nothing. Or maybe that someone will just vanish temporarily, and when they come back we're stuck on "not yet connected to xxx". So I try a custom game. Get into lobby, connect up fine, then when the game launches the game just freezes and I have to do a hard reboot. Ill go have anoth

You can gain huge amounts this way. As an example, I live in australia, and although singapore is fairly close geographically network packets usually go through japan and then on to singapore. This means I get pings of about 250ms instead of about 100 ms is the packets were to do directly to singapore. However certain IP addresses in singapore which use an ISP which also does business in australia *do* go directly to singapore and I *do* get 100 ms pings. Now if you im

Reset my router and started over from scratch too. waste of time...many modern ethernet cards will hide the ports from outside inquisitors. So if that app doesn't say you've done it correctly, it may be that the ports are properly opened, but the app can't get the verification it needs.
<

Do I really need that off to play DG?
Absolutly not. Most firewalls will work semlessly with demigod, as they automatically open ports that your applications and games choose to listen on. In fact I dont know of a firewall nowdays that doesnt do this. Anyone who is having problems sho

First run ImpulseReactorOptions.exe which is in your bin\demigod directory. See what ports you have it set to use. (I changed mine to 6002-6200, but default probably works fine) go Here... http://www.portforward.com/help/portcheck.htm and Download our PFPortCheck Program Install it and run it. Type a port number in the range specified by ImpulseReactorOptions.exe. Cli

Been trying to play custon games with this patch all evening, and managed to get a couple going minus 2 of the players. All sorts of stupid things happening, like for example player x joins the game and we connect fine, green pings. Player y joins, disconnects (times out), player x leaves rejoing then im stuck at trying to connect. (just is stuck at trying to connect, gets nowhere). Why? I connected to him before instantly at 80 ping. What the hell? Spen

While I have faith in Stardock's good intentions to patch this game to working condition, we have been having breakthroughs and "almost there" etc etc for several weeks now. Im starting to doubt Stardocks ability to fix this, and whether it is even fixable given the p2p design of the multiplayer. Theres only so long you can go on for being told that "were almost there" before you start to doubt what you're being told. If you dont know what to do to fix it, Id much sooner be told so an

Sigh, now Im getting 1v1 vs the AI. This is pathetic.

Replacing quitters with a elite or nightmare AI is an option. If that's unfair, then another interesting idea I had would be to leave the AI as it is, but not give xp or gold for AI kills. I think the "weakness" of the AI in map control would be roughly balanced by the hassle of having to kill him without getting rewarded for it. As for penalizing players who leave, remember that there are those that disconnect. Maybe theres an argument that they should

Id just settle for not being put in 1v1's every time. I suppose there aren't enough people on to make a 2v2 game. I see about 10 people in the custom games. I guess people have grown tired of the problems and moved onto other games. Let's hope that this weeks patch gives us a decent multiplayer experience and people come back. Fixed or not, the game wont work without people to play against.

As a UB player, the generals I have trouble with are the ones that dont engage in combat but just weaken me with their minions. Then they come to finish me off if im stupid enough to hang around on low health. So I have to keep going back to get healed (pre heart of life) and that just eats up my time.
