I love the ideas of those small towns and additions to your territory as they will give a sense of how big your kingdom/empire has come to be with it's expansions, and those small towns and villages could also help with fog of war inside your territory in small locations which can help with seeing incoming armies. However I think that after placing the village/town that you can have control the development of the village directly, but rather the status of the City it is attached to alon
actually that was just a nod to "Avatar" More shocking is almost all of them say "Spouse" when I think they are supposed to be children. Of course, cultural differences may apply.
Really? I didn't quite understand the whole reason as to why they would be placed like that especially when the sovereign himself is normal. I guess I did miss something on these forums, I try not to....../sigh </

It seems that minor factions all have children who are blue, I don't believe it's intended for them all to have blue skin though. I used Crtl U to reveal the fog of war and seems it affects all minor factions. Really glad that the research options have changed, now it's going to look a lot cleaner and more direct which helps figuring out what War tech to actually research. "+ Advisors will inform you when better notable locations have become available" Did I mention that I love you guys?
Same for resources. Starting location is just too important to live to chance. The area around a given player’s start MUST have some useful, balanced stuff around it (and in beta 3, there just isn’t).
*Wipes sweat off forehead* Was a bit worried on this, since lately I find that my opponents will either block me off or contain the most valuable resources; playing as a diplomatic player is a bit hard when forced over these issues.
Well you can already marry and all that good stuff. One thing I haven't noticed is a diplomacy bonus when my children are married into a rival's empire. We had three sets of married kids and i got nothing for it. Is this intended?
I believe it hasn't been implemented yet, since I have yet to see any bonuses besides two (Army strength and faction-wise); I don't think any other bonuses are in for diplomacy.
I got a square that went dark but shows the fog of war as the ground skin when you zoom in. It started happening as soon as a caravan created it's first road and then periodically occurs after. Moving a unit seems to correct the problem.
This is exactly what is happening with me, same solution for fixing the problem as well. However I didn't have a caravan before this problem started occurring though.

I personally prefer fixed, it shows the true look of an NPC and doesn't make me wonder how big the creature I actually am fighting is or the relative height of two NPCs in relation to each other and the world. However scaling helps when I am actually trying to find something, yet I find it doesn't matter which setting it actually is set upon. I'd say keep it on by default and leave the option for allowing it to be fixed for when it is wanted.
