Thanks Zolop for reminding me :P Each race is going to get a 'super' weapon. For example, I believe that the TEC get a cannon that can attack a gravity well a jump away.

Why didn't anyone say this was the 'leave a smiley face and nothing else' topic....I made myself look bad from my post.
Sorry bout that comment earlier that wasn't helpful -_- He isn't complaining. He is just being sarcastic as many developers will not even blink an eye at suggestions, while SD/IC try to implement them.
When we make suggestions, guys, we expect to be told that you tried that three years ago and it sucked
People are not use to the idea that the customer's opinion matters and that is what he is trying to get through and that 'scares' him.
*holds back witty comment*
I might be mistakened, but also for the Sandbox mode, they are trying to add some of the story into that by having events/'quests' to do while playing.
Of course thats not sarcasm. I mean, what company listen's to the customers? /sarcasm off
My way of defense is a more of an 'offensive defense' that I start planning during the colonization phase. Try not to expand in a straight line, as more often then not, it will leave most of your planets open to attack. If you expand around your homeplanet, there will often be less planets to defend.(say there are three planets one jump away, you colonize them all, you will only have to defend those three, instead of four). This is even better if one or more of your planets only have one jumplan

-_- everyone who plays Sins must be crazy (looks at Schod and TGE)
Schod, do you take orders? Can it make Belgian Waffles? So many questions :P
:SNIFF!: Stop taunting us with pictures and details. You know we all want to play release and you are hanging a carrot infront of us. However, if you would like to give us that carrot, I have no complaint against that (lousy attempt me knows)
I thought of that, I guess there is a chance he didn't, but there is still a proabablity he did pirate it, sorry bout it.
I guess that may be a possibility, however, in that case the friend pirated the beta.
*to aldarian* Still, he admitted he pirated the beta, whether he decides to buy it or not, it is still stealing. If wanted to try the game before preordering, he should have waited for the demo (which if I remember correctly would come out a month after the release).
From Yarlen in an earlier topic
This probably sounds harsh, but our viewpoint is that if you've stolen the game your opinion means nothing to us. Don't even bother posting because all you're doing is wasting our time and telling us who we should ban.
Aaaarrrrgh Matey!
Thank you for your help!
I'm sorry to bring this topic up, but I rather not start a new one, I have the exact same problem. My mother used her email address to buy tokens for me (so I can get Sins of a Solar Empire), but when I entered the serial number, using my mother's email, it said it was accepted, yet I do not have any tokens. I have a ticket with support going on right now, but I have not gotten anywhere yet. I found this when searching and wondering if you could help. Thanks
It would be interesting if when the capital is taken, you get a moral debuff (yes I have been playing too many rpgs recently coughLotROcough) that starts off bad (the shock of losing their capital) but gets a little better over time, and when you get the capital back, you get rid of the debuff and gain a buff. (note to self, use less rpg terms)
This is only part one of the beta and those are the only races so far with the updated Tech Trees, they will release more betas later with more of the tech trees for the races and some of the new features later.
I almost always go with luck, and also since I am starting to like playing the Yor, I go for an extra +1 to the speed since with the superability of the Yor (slowing down enemy ships) along with the bonus to my speed, allows me to have an advantage when fighting on my own turf.
This is going to be soooo cool. The more unique tech trees (go Yor), along with the ship modules that allow you to have bonuses when in groups alone want me to get this (though I would love if there were other unique modules like a scanner or repair ships) Edit Will there also be some races that focus on having fewer more powerful ships that fight alone (better large hulls/strong weapons less logistics) and ones that will have more but weaker ships (better smaller hulls, weaker weap
The epic generator was a feature that was going to be added into Dark Avatar, but as you could see was cut. It was going to make a story based on the events of what happened in the game and allow you to share it.
The same thing happened to me while playing the Dread Lords campaign. Not only did the Dread Lords sign a peace treaty with me and pretty much every other race that were in the mission, but also I could 'talk' to the Dread Lords and trade with them (but it would cost me a bunch of bc to get even the simplist of things >_>)
(Never played DA yet, getting it tommorow though ) From what I hear, it seems a little too powerful to completely wipe out a planet. My opinion is that it should be changed to something less powerful but still useful, maybe like poisoning the planet, and instead of killing off the entire population, kill off a percent each turn for a certain amount of turns (maybe 5 or so) and then the toxins are remo
Sorry, I just read the 1.4x bug list and saw it was the first bug there >_>, should of read that before. Just ignore this topic
