If you hide the weather widgets/themes, how they authors can find them to make an update (if and when it will be possible)? How many author's don't have a copy of their own work? We are allowing the authors to download their work until the 20th. After the 20th if an author needs something they missed, they can request it. Building a new library, accessible to specific users or for specific gallery type,
Zubaz - rather than deleting these weather object from accounts, why can you not just flag them in some way and stop them appearing in WC? Changing these objects is not the shortest task and some people have a lot of objects. Brutally deleting objects is likely to drive some authors away. I know we can "archive" them, but can you image what a time consuming effort that would be for some of us?
&nbsp
Also, I tried to update themes because of this issue but unfortunately, I missundersttod what is required so those themes are now impossible to update again because they are not there to update. Why are they not available to update by you? If you do not have a backup, we can provide one to you. Or were you talking about the end-user not being able to update them?
<span style="c
the moderators and admins at wincustomize, devs and database and legal folks at Stardock have been working all week to find solutions. Just because you don't see it here on the forums doesn' mean we aren't doing anything. Skinners and coders here on WC are busting their ass to find solutions from this side of the fence. They are looking at new feeds and templates. They are looking at paying for their own feeds. They are looking for ways to make this work. As m

Hi Paul, Excellent speech, very well said! [e digicons][/e] Though, you said:
People...you are clearly NOT listening.
I say, have you tried to understand what the authors are trying to say? Authors are saying, with a few words, that we are the Skinning Community and at least we should share the problems and try
Wait. You are not owed a weather widget with code. We gave it out so that coders could learn. Now we can't. It's not a choice.
Hey Zu, We are not coders , we are skinners , we don't know how MS Windows work, but we can do a GUI. WinCustomize is a skinning c

Instead of giving to the authors of WinCustomize some help with the weather widgets, you have decided to delete all of them from WC! Is this a solution? Unbelievable! Does anybody cares about the thousand users who used to have them in their computer desktop? It is obvious that WC doesn't care with this solution.</sp
This is not an Stardock issue in any way. It comes from users creating weather widgets all based on the same code (by another user) that calls weather.com without a parnet ID and key.
Dear Zubaz, Stardock is or was offering a weather widget with the DesktopX, many people may have buy the DesktopX only for the Silica weather widget ;) I don’t mean that Stardock has to buy a license for all widgets, but it may help for a so

Good solution for us skinners Vad_M , thank you! Though, not much helpful for gadget and widget users. Because every user has to be register in Weather.com and change (personalize) the script of the gadget/widget , which practically is impossible for the 90% of them. <span

Dear Island Dog one of your picks is a rip, the Wincustomize Administration should do something about it ;) https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=3024&libid=65#500355
