Sorry for "double-posting" this, I posted this comment in another thread, but I thought under a new title more people would have a look: please have a look at this: https://www.wincustomize.com/zoom.aspx?skinid=11567&libid=29 how can I split the dock? it's working again, I don't use DesktopX or Object Bar, but please have a look at this: https://www.wincustomize.com/zoom.aspx?skinid=11567&libid=29 how can I split the dock? And especially in the right lower corner, this looks like the windows taskbar, where some icons appear when certain programs are running or minimized (for me that would be: AntiVir, Outpost Firewall, Trillian without a chat window open etc) If I could configure this, I could get rid of that window
Done, I found the right command for it
*push although I now have a docklet for it (Power switch by CupidMoon) I still would like to know how to configure it myself, because I actually want to use some other (IMO) better looking switches, so what commands do I have to use for that? Thx!
Edit: after restart the windows taskbar was there again: can this be fixed anyway? I do not need to restart everytime I check or uncheck that box in the docks' general options, right? It used to work before!
Hi, although I didn't check that option it just won't appear anymore, I do need to switch though, because there are a few icons that won't appear in the dock, and that is my next issue: how can I make programs like AntiVir or Outpost Firewall or Trillian appear on the dock when they are started? I hope you know what I mean: these icons are in the windows taskbar where they can't be moved, next to the system clock. Any help appreciated! Thx
Ok, done: copying the hook.dll to the C:\Programme\Stardock\ObjectDock\ folder solved it! Thx for all your suggestions, folks!
Correction: it seems to be a problem withe digital clock I'm using, when i right click "dock entry properties" the message above appears about 20 or 30 times @yrag: that folder doens't exist in Program Files, do I need to create that one? (you mean the SysStats Pack 1, right?) Can't this be fixed in the folder it's supposed to be?
ok, now it says: hook.dll was not found, blah blah (and that for every icon I have in my dock, although they seem to be working) do I need to move or copy that one too?
Ok, I'll try and let you know, what happened
Hi, everytime I start my computer it says something like: SysStats could not be started because SysStatsCOM.dll wasn't found it's installed here: C:\Programme\Stardock\ObjectDock\Docklets\SysStats where do I go wrong?
leaving a space didn't work, your suggestion either, I get the same error message: Access for Windows Script Host denied on this computer, please contact admin etc how can I change this?
I don't know, where do I have to check this? Another issue: I have a shutdown and a restart button on the dock, link says: C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe-s C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe-r but then again an error message: C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe-r could not be found. any help here? thank you.
Tried it, I get an error message, I don't know if I translate it right from German: Access for Windows Script Host denied on this computer, please contact admin etc. Where and how can I change this? Thank you.
A target is set, I removed it and tried again, it just won't work
Well, I was able to repair the word programm (strange thing, I don't know, how it was uninstalled) For the desktop icon: I already did what Corky_O suggested, so it's no problem to get that icon back. My problem is the following: From the windows taskbar desktop.scf does what it's supposed to do: it shows the desktop, using it from the objectdock it has no function at all. Do I have to erase the icon from the windows taskbar to make it work from objectdo
The word symbol was on the dock, definetely, I never would have expected that removing it would uninstall the program itself, but that's what happened! I didn't to anything else that this could have accidently happened! I mean the desktop.scf symbol which is supposed to show the desktop when clicked, nothing happens, when I use it on the objectdock (on the windows taskbar it works well)
Hi, I hope I'm in the right forum. I want to use my desktop symbol in the objectdock panel but it just won't work from there, any help? I removed the word symbol, which is in the panel by default and now word is deinstalled! Was that supposed this way? I guess not...any help repairing it other than installing new? Sorry for my English and thank you!
