Well I'll ask again for someone to post some of the information found within the articles as I'm sure it's pretty legal as long as it doesn't go overboard presenting an 1:1 version of the original article... I'm more interested in that than the pretty pictures anyway. I already know the game's beautiful, I just don't know much about how it plays!

Well I was simply responding to your post that wanted to adjust the number of planets per galaxy on top of the number of total planets. I just think one or the other option is void for the reasons I posted. What doesn't work which way and feel free to enlighten me about that though.
I don't know how the game works and if when you start a game you can already see how many planets there are in all systems... But if you actually have to discover them first, then I'd only want to be able to set the total number of planets and have the game randomly share them to all the systems. That way you don't start a given game knowing "okay, 5 planets in every system, I need to explore this one until I discover all 5 of them".
I'm sure there's no problem with posting some of the information found within the article, as long as it's not a 1:1 copy paste and doesn't get in too many details...
He found it on the front page obviously
Came up with more stuff: I think the basic concept would be fun enough to play through on its own but it could always be enhanced in various ways such as having a complex diplomacy system involved when meeting other survivor fleets in an attempt to make them part of your own, or the requirement to keep the civilian population of the fleet happy and reproducing, the trick being their needs in commodities are vastly different to what you need to maintain a decent army against the cylon attacks
I'm talking gameplay not story (if you want the story behind my idea, watch BSG). Changing the game to not be about empire building at all but simply about guiding a single fleet through the galaxy, trying to survive by any means possible to achieve their final goal, is a rather big change of pace from the original game I think... I also don't think it has been done before in a game, but with Sins' engine it should be doable. Basically a game akin to Nexus but without a strict mission s
I guess nobody else ever wanted a game like that
Okay, I think I found the reason this was happening. I think Stardock simply need to update their data about which ip belongs where. Most IP lookup sites falsely detect mine as being from amsterdam or germany but there is one that is more frequently updated and detects it properly as being from Greece, found here: http://www.all-nettools.com/toolbox I haven't sent the sales address this information yet as I'm waiting for a response to my last e-mail first, which I assume will come a
Hopefully an actually talented group of people (please, if you don't know what you're doing, don't try this!) will create a Battlestar Galactica modification that changes the focus of the game from building a vast empire into guiding a limited fleet through the galaxies, making resupply stops to suitable planets discovered, avoiding conflict when necessary, risking jumps to uknown locations, randomly meeting potential additions to your fleet (perhaps diplomacy elements would spring up when meeti
Okay nevermind I guess, I just got the e-mail from stardock and it seems it was because of an issue with my ISP fudging up IPs and showing me appear as being from a different country. I'll move this to e-mail only and hope I can work something out to aquire the preorder and so get the beta before joining the army :/
I mailed @ 4:42PM GMT+2 yesterday. I don't have anything in my e-mail, I checked my junk folder but I don't think it would go there. The Stardock e-mail I received when I created my account on these forums (in order to make this post) arrived fine. Gmail lists the e-mail I wrote under "sent mails" fine. If the orders did go through, I still got the error message, and haven't received any serial number or however this works... Also, I obviously don't want the game twice (if in fact it's
Hello, I tried to preorder your game in order to be able and participate in the upcoming beta since I will sadly not be able to play the full release for a long time as I'll be doing my army service come May. When proceeding to checkout it eventually led me to an error page stating the following: Error Message: We're sorry. Stardock is not able to accept your order. Pease contact [email protected] for assistance. Please reference transaction number: [Edited out, I don
