I think we should have a mentoring program to help people learn about how to play Sins as well as teach them forum/IRC etiquette.
eetmorsqrls
maybe steal from civ4 BtS, give players a choice of several options as an 'event' and whatever they choose has blah consequences...
lol, we could toss some Multi/Kosc action in there too XD
LOL!
@phoenix NO! I hated towering in wc3ft, never want to go through that again.
Second off, one "contiguous" story? Thats a weird phrasing. nr, it *probably* means that the story of the races now flows together, with each part directly linked to the others.
if you haven't noticed, WC3 doesnt have the naga and HE races in ladder because of balancing issues. Galciv had multiple 'races' but that was because they all work off of the same stats/weps/hulls. Same for the Civ and Total War series. The races in Sins are inherently different because they come from different parts of the galaxy and have had thousands of years to perfect their own branches of research. That would mean that if they added in another faction, they would have to add anoth
lol, it's nice to know that this thread hasn't gone totally off topic... and lol@ron, did you ever try just going to the address? XD
Terran, do yourself a favor: Learn how to use punctuation. Then use some kind of spell check, either the one built into fire fox or use your word processor of choice. Thats one ugly mass of text that I can't even come close to following. maybe english isnt his first language? dont be so critical of other people ron -.- (wee bit much there Ishigawa...) to translate: I am sorry for my spelling. Hi I must say your game so far is
lol, poor Yarlen. Anyways, I believe that 'they' have said multiple times that the current distribution system is just because of some betaeyness thingie. Hopefully it will be changed by beta 3/next patch?
still not clean
lol, poor Ron. Feedback: i think that since the game is auto saving then there should be a max number of games saved files 2-5. then they should be auto deleted. Complaining: this game is making too many save files Feedback: how about whenever you manually save, automatically deleting all autosaves
I commented on mines on about three separate threads and after that I got tired of it. Space is 3D and HUGE, any mines small enough to be undetectable would probably be too small for anything to run into it. Any mines that are large enough to be hit by a ship would easily be detectable to sensors and the ships would just shoot them. Now the explosions can't be too small or else they wont damage the ship shields at all, and if it's too big, you can't place them close together for a fear of a chai
well humans won't be QUITE so dumb (except maybe Kosc) I think one of the main problems people are having is that they can't choose which ships actually go in 'under the gun.' There is currently no way to make a fleet formation in which your weaker ships are surrounded by tougher ones, they just jump in as a mob and hope things work out for the best. If formations and maybe a better pathing/targeting AI could be instituted, making weaker ships better defended and more likely to attack what you w
The only thing worse than forgetting to add an apostrophe is adding one when it shouldn't be there at all. Anyways, when you go up against actual people, they would just learn how to exploit that system and make it work against the defending player.
except I'm sure that they were using radioactive materials on the planet surface, and when you send a really quick object into them, it causes massive compression making large temp and pressures, making BOOM!s.
whenever you like wherever you like XD
especially since they are currently uncompressed files...
uhm... you could try waiting to colonize until after the planet is no longer under their allegiance, moving your ships in to the next few planets and just leave your recent catch uncolonized, sending ur colony ships in after a bit
uhm... im guessing giant holes in the planet and all plant life and buildings destroyed and lava flowing out of the ground isn't clean?
i... can... tell... he translated it... "just use abbreviations for everything, no spelling necessary" is the translation of what I said...
except in space antimatter apparently magically regenerates so there goes the need for fuel. Antimatter can also (depending on who you ask) make food and computers do all the navigation so there goes the need for more fuel. When you redesign a ship like that, it normally gets bigger, what with the guns and all, so therefore so does the ship. EVERYTHING that the TEC has comes from tradeships...
lol, all those nukes and the planet is still fine. TAKE THAT AL GORE!
A trade ship during wartime is useless unless it large enough to carry a number of goods, yet small enough to be maneuverable and quick. A large bulky ship would have too much inertia to accelerate quickly and would be easy prey for other ships. Therefore, trade ships, especially those of the TEC whose main income comes from trade, would have to be medium sized and quick. Like the ones they currently have implemented.
well, instaflip is gone (or so they say for the next patch), and I already posted about the nukes so
